Self destructing is something people do to sabotage the enemy team in games like CTF. Mostly 1v1 matches where they'll take your flag, shoot you a few times if they can and they'll go to their base and self destruct if you have their flag so you have to go back to return it then try and attempt to capture the flag. In that time they'll have spawned again, you being nearly dead, so they kill you, take their flag back and capture yours.

 

This has happened to me by many players and it's quite annoying since it makes winning practically impossible, so my idea is to entirely remove the self destruct function, but if you fall upside down it will happen automatically after five seconds. This way, they can't sabotage you so easily and who in their right mind would kill an upside down player in a 1v1 CTF?

Self destruction is one of the game features that can be used as a tactic, and since there is nothing in the rules say that its not allowed, there is no reason to remove it, just because some players don't like it -when its used against them- doesn't mean its now allowed.

Mainly for xp/bp. It's a rule players have made so it should be removed in xp/bp.

It's actually really hard unless I do the same and I don't self destruct ever unless upside down.
