PSA: Gift Cards give less Crystals than other methods.

I bought a $40 Target gift card today and used it to pay for the 120000+90000 crystals package on DCC ($39.99) yet only received 120k (60000 crystals x2).

 

Only 3 or so weeks ago, I had bought $70 worth of crystals with a Target gift card and received the full DCC amount, which was 400000 crystals. Now, however, those bonus crystals were gone. Nada.

 

What just happened in 3 weeks? Seriously Tanki? You all of a sudden nerf the amount of crystals we receive for simply paying with a gift card, then give no explanation?

 

Let me theorize for you then--is it because Paygarden is harrowing you with processing fees, therefore you have to subtract the crystals from the total payment to make it even? Come on, just one simple explanation, don't leave us hanging.

 

I know Tanki has a history with its moneymaking tactics and the disparity between RU and US crystal prices, but this... Well, it's a new trick up their dirty sleeve. <_<

Yea and it takes the entire amount too i just learned that today i wanted the 9.99 package of cry and wanted to get 4 gold boxes for my ranking party but nope - it took the entire $15 and no free cry what a waste of my time.

Yeah it says on the website it will extract all money from the card. Thats why you always read everything before making a purchase online. But the fact that they give less crystals is troubling... Doesn't make much since.

When you buy for an example 10$ of a Starbucks card, some of the money goes to Starbucks. They split the amount.

No thats not the point, the point was i hit the $9.99 so it should have ONLY been allowed to take that much out, instead i paid $15 for 22k cry when i could gotten 19k cry for $9.99 (15k + 4k free) that is like cheating.

Yes i'd almost be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and say its Paygardens prosessing fees......... but with Tanki you never know.

You know what you can get for $39,90 WITHOUT a DCC?

Now if you actually received 120 000 crystals in total, without receiving the additional 90 000 crystals as a bonus, then you should contact the technical support to request those bonus crystals. However, if you've received 120 000 + 90 000 = 210 000 crystals in total, you got exactly what you payed for (with DCC).

In your case it would be best to contact Paygarden's customer support about what happened there. You can contact them here.

Thank you for your time but, i will pass on contacting them as it would be a waste of my time as there was no other option but to accept it tot take the entire card.

 

And it wasnt that payment method, it was called "OpenBucks" very secure and less of a hastle. won't be spending again until either something is done about it sucking the entire card automatically, or a different option with gift cards is added.

I was planning to buy another $20 gift card, but now I feel scared, soz tanki u aint getting money from me yet I saved up so much money for nothing :/

You never save up money for nothing though. You can either save up some more, or spend it on something else that makes you happy also.
Although in your case, if you buy a crystal package that costs exactly what you have on the card, then there won't be any money on the card left for Paygarden to take away.
