So my idea is like if I want to talk to someone who has a long name (e.g. You_Took_My_Name)

 

It's a real pain to type that entire name out so what I am proposing is a system where I can enter a nickname YTMN: and easily talk to him that way. You can set the nickname in your friends list maybe? This would be nice because many tankers already call other tankers by nicknames, (e.g. chessmaster1077 is just "chess")

I doubt that you'd be able to just use part of the name, but there could be an auto-complete feature like the one Minecraft has - you type the first few letters of the name and then press Tab to auto-complete. And if there are multiple players's names starting with those letters, pressing Tab repeatedly would allow you to cycle through the names until you get the right one.
