It happens, but not every single gold you catch a 2 standard gold drop

Special Gold Boxes

 

If you spent April Fools’ Day in Tanki Online last year, you definitely remember the special surprise gold boxes. The great news is that they’re back!

 

From 02:00 UTC on April 1st, till 02:00 UTC on April 3rd, Gold Boxes (only random ones, not player dropped) will drop 5 times more often, and will reward you with one of the following:

 

A stash of 1 000, 5 000, 10 000 or 50 000 crystals

An additional two standard value golds dropped right after you catch the gold

Double Damage, Double Armor, and Speed Up activated for 5 minutes (the effect remains even if you’re destroyed, but ends if you change equipment)

60 seconds of immortality. The effect remains even if you self-destruct, but ends if you change equipment or pick up a Double Armor supply (or maybe not)

1, 2 or 3 days of Premium Account

A bomb that destroys all tanks near the drop zone. All the kills are credited to the gold hunter.

 

Please note that the surprize Gold Boxes will not drop in PRO battles where Gold Boxes have been turned OFF. Additionally, the “all supplies on” mode and “invincibility” mode will not work in PRO battles where supplies have been turned OFF.

Man they are saying they will have a live steam instead of next vlog. BTW guys if the letters are arenged to form the next vlog is bowed then maybe it's somehow related to the last vlog. The answer of last question was desert so it might be like the new year quiz. Try it and tell me. They told stupid update on vlog maybe they wil remove it. But serously try something related to the map desrt maybe while wearing the desrt pain and tell me the answer. I can't try am in village

Is it just me getting unlucky or is it not really 5x golds?  I've been through about 25k funds worth of battles and only seen 3 golds so far.

i caught a 5k goldbox

Got the dreaded Capture 10 flags mission. Got lucky and was able to complete it across three battles on a Cross map. Had that smallish map not been there, it would have taken me all day to get ten flags on the medium to large maps usually found in the standard battles section.

 

Crystal reward was worth it :wub:

one issue I did see all weekend is that  Gold drops like this . when there is  less then 2 minutes or about that left on the timer and gold drops in that time frame . Where drops like this should be done earlier in battles so that we can  be able to take advantageous of them . if not  we loose out on 3 minutes owing to us .. even if you hit to stay in battle your removed from battle .. not sure why when you wanted to stay.. but loosing  time on gifts should not happen.. this is for next years or other gold drops like this.. This Time I did  see a increase of gold dropping compared to the past gold events , this I will say good job.. ( OMG again the fever is messing up my brain ) ..

It was insane in polygon CP, most of them was Monster kill, but there was also the one which drops x2 golds and some one has got 10k crystals

Had a 250 kill mission with holiday paint last night, luckily for me, I had my m2 twins with the stable plasma alteration that I bought the night before, over 600 speed boosts, and can disable all controls to the supplies I was low on.

 

I'm down to 420 speed boosts now :P
