stop hesitating, Hornets with freeze and isida are the best combo for most maps.. just go for them

Freeze m3 can destroy mammoth m2 and titan m3

Isida is a goddish turret

 

You may regret all the rest of guns, but sure it will count on your game style, but if you want to dominate then go with freeze or isida.

Just to clarify, do you think M3 Mammoth is still worth using? Or is M3 titan better. I know at M0,M1, and M2 Titan is better than Mammoth but im still unsure if i should purchase M2 Mammoth to be used with M2 Twins

I have a DCC, and $25... if I buy crystals with that money, what should I get? I have electra,rustle, M2 titan mammoth hornet wasp ricochet smoky freeze firebird isida, M1, viking, dictator, hunter, shaft, twins, railgun, thunder.

 

I'm thinking of getting Hunter or dictator M2'd, as I don't have a medium tank yet.

I know. Thunder is also great. I say get both m2 if you can. They both can work for many maps and modes. Is there some list of m2s you would like? If those are the only ones atm, get them both. :)

Ok so I play Poly DM almost all the time. Right now I use mainly Twins/Mammy or Shaft/Viking. Twins works out great for me, since I spent 20K MUing it. So, I was wondering what I should save for. I'm not getting any more M2's, so M2 Smoky is off the list. That leaves me with M3 Thunder, Isida, Shaft, or Freeze. I don't like Freeze, so I'm not getting that. That leaves me with Thnder, Isida or Shaft. Thunder is decent for DM and is OP with MU's, but with all the Emeralds around Thunder is trash. Isida is dirt cheap and is easy to use, but it is not good for DM. Finally, I can go with Shaft. The only thing is that Shaft isn't that great as a primary weapon, although if I MU it a little, I can one shot M2 Vikings.

You sure you need Fire M2. From what I know, you like Shaft a lot, and Fire has a completely different gameplay. Also, You could also go with a heavier hull since you only have Hunter (also, Hunter can't survive a full Shaft shot). I would go with a hull like Viking. I use M2 Shaft/M2 Viking a lot and the speed is good enough to go to a good camp spot.

No problem. Good plan.

Sure. I consider it my second most experienced turret. I am not a pro, as I have nof explored thunders full potential.

Some strategies I use are:

-Avoid getting close to enemy or you will damage yourself

-Thunder is not built for long range, so I try to stay a mid range shooting distance

-Use splash damage as much as possible, when you see a group, shoot! (Not implimenting that you run around getting shot while looking for one, but if you have a choice of shooting one or two+, choose two+)

-Reload speed is pretty fast and effective, which makes it great for peek-a-boo

 

To me, it's great in all modes.

In DM, you run around shooting people, especially the damaged ones, like a boss. Or find a good spot to hide and peek-a-boo.

In TDM, to me it =groups. The splash accumulates you points so fast.

In CTF, attacking, midfielding, and defending is all a good fit to thunder. I have done all, but I find midfielding and defending the best use for me.

In CP, even in sandbox, its good. I played today and mantained my eye on enemies while scoring for my team. Probably the best weapon to me for CP.

in conclusion, I find thunder to be a great weapon. :)

I upgraded Mammoth to M2 and it actually became slower and less effective.  Don't want to waste more money, so how does one know what they are buying?  I want to upgrade Hornet hull and Twins turret to M2.  Would that be another mistake and a waste of money?

Ehehehehh well I have Mammy M2 and Twins M2. Twins is expensive, and I have already MU the damage 3 times (for a total of 20K crystals). Go for Twins if you like DM. If not, then get something else because I have a hard time using Twins outside of Polygon

Personally i kinda like isida in DMs especially when gold falls and you use drugs (or if you drug in general) as even when you have used your health pack you still gain life from attacking people. What other hulls do you have? Thunder is awesome but you are right there are a ton of emeralds and its a pain trying to kill one. Shaft is awesome, there are a few hiding spots in Polygon you can just dominate if you play it right. Honestly if i had to choose out of the three i would get isida, then i would go for thunder, and then shaft. But hey this is MY opinion so another question i have is, Have you any personal liking of any of the guns more than the other? Also what M3 hull do you plan to buy? Also what paints you have?

Now i read what you said about M2/Mammoth and Twins and i wanted to know if M2 Mammoth is worth buying. I was wanting to use it with Twins but not sure if its worth it or not. I also play Poly DM mostly

OK, I have 250k crystals, and ranked up to Major General recently. I have Hornet, Freeze and Thunder M3 (as of now my only good paints are Rustle and Emerald).

I want to have over 196k so when I rank up to Lieutenant General I can get Viking M3 straight away. This leaves me with about 50k - should I save up for a paint (if so, any ideas on which?), another M3 or (if Isida gets the 50 percent on Fri) get Isida M2?

 

PS, I enjoy using all the M3s rather equally, sometimes Thunder with Viking M2.

You can participate in contests Contests, play harder like amdtu said, or take advantage of opportunities like the 50% sale this Friday "Might be for railgun if enough players vote for it ;)"
