Tbh railgun isnt that good a weapon. You will mainly get kills by stalking someone till they get hit once then you shoot and kill them. Or you need to use lots of dp. Mu's may be better depnding on what your gonna mu

freeze m2 is great no matter what rank. m2 smoky and m2 viking make a great combo. Twins m2 is worth the price

So i recently bought the M3 light kit. Its awesome, M3 rail at my rank is pure OP. The two paints on the other hand I'm not too sure about. Spark is decent but i have some doubts on Needle. Great protection from Smoky obviously but is it a "Great" paint? Or should i set my sights for a better Med/Long range paint? I know i need a close range paint as well and was thinking of either Inferno or Irbis. But not sure of which to get there either. I have 82k right now and i still want one more M2; Smoky M2. I already have Viking M2 so would that be a good idea? Or should i save for another M3 like Isida? And i know people say to only MU for M3s and i have two of them, so should i bother MUing or no?

 

So to rap it up i have Five Questions:

1. Thoughts on Needle?

2.Go for better long/med range paint?

3.Irbis vs Inferno?

4. Save for M3 or Smoky M2?

Ok so firstly Needle isn't that good a paint. Mainly defends against Smoky so that's all that it will really defend you against. Yes you should go for a better paint i highly suggest prodigi. Has great protection against Railgun which can really drain your health. Also thunder. Irbis or inferno well irbis is great while defending from drugging isida's, and it does have 20% from freeze which can just be enough to keep you alive. On the other hand Inferno is a great paint against freeze and firebird. I know how annoying it can be to get frozen and die constantly by enemy freeze. Also when a firebird's afterburn lowers your health to very little or 0 and destroyed. Inferno will help with that and you will be unfrozen sooner. However any other guns such as freeze, firebird,isida, railgun, thunder will be damaging you greatly. Which is why I suggest prodigi it defends against shaft, thunder, railgun.  As for saving for m2 smoky or a m3. Well m3 is always better than a m2. However depends on your style of play. As your liking the light m3 kit im assuming you like to get kills, support, stay back and shoot. Occasionaly attack. So then smoky m2 will be better than isida m3 as (and I know this as i have m2 smoky myself) smoky m2 does great damage and has good criticals you get lots of them with m2 smoky you will recieve alot of exp quickly and will get lots of kills. Which will often keep you in top 3 score in any game (depends on your skill with it) though you dont need any really. However if you prefer attacking, healing a drugger on your team, helping flag carrier and killing tons and still not lose much health (thanks to self-healing factor of isida) then you will really love isida m3.

As for MU's you should MU your m3 stuff first. For rail i would say the reload speed is first thing you should finish. Then work on the damage soon you will be killing all hornet m2's and below (unless they have railgun protection paint) in one shot. If you end up buying m3 isida I'd say reload should be MU'd as well first then you can MU what you prefer to do with your isida. If you attack you will want to MU the damage per sec as well as the Self-Heal. If you stay back and Defend you should MU reload and healing parameters.

Well since you already have a m2 hull i suggest buying a gun. Both m2 freeze and m2 isida work well with hornet m2. However if your willing to wait for a sale and buy both will be better :)

1. I bought that same kit, I really love needle because it protects against those annoying smokys AND it has really good protection against shaft. It will keep you from getting oneshot by an m2 shaft when you are wearing your hornet. Rico protection is good because it is used more widely once it becomes available at m3.

2. If you are going for a long/med range paint, I would get either emerald, prodigi, or jade. All of those have a lot of protection against one weapon, and decent protection against a variety of others. To help you decide better, here is a link to another topic someone made.

3. Inferno. Freeze and fire protection >30% is OP.

4. Definitely save for another m3, you'll need it. I'd recommend thunder or freeze. Isida can work well too.

5. Yes, MU them to a certain degree, but not too much, as the upgrades become miniscule in importance at an increased price. It's kind of up to your good judgment to decide whether it's worth it to you. As for parameters, for your hornet, upgrade protection first, then MAYBE speed. It's a really good hull in terms of turning speed and weight and power already, maybe upgrade the power so it's easier to get golds. As for rail, damage first, then reload speed, then penetration power, then turning speed.

All of those are really good. I would suggest getting a long/medium range and a short range weapon instead of 2 short range ones. Thunder would be my first recommendation.

So i have recently leveled up to Sergeant-Major. YAY! Anyways, I have 3,692 crystals which I do not know what to do with. I now have an isida, thunder, shaft, smoky, viking, hornet and hunter. They are all M0. I use a thunder and a viking mostly. Can you tell me what to buy or upgrade? I think I'm going to get m1 and m2 and so on for the thunder and viking. What do you beauties think?
