What to buy? Which is better?

what to buy with thunder m2, mammoth m2 or a medium hull like viking or hunter m2. I want to play mainly in Sandbox or polygon DM with this combo.

Hello, so I am almost a WO3, and I need a suggestion. I already have the turret kit, so I'm not in need of turrets just yet, but I need a good suggestion on M1 Hunter, M1 Dictator, or M1 Hornet. Statistically wise they are quite similar in terms of armor increase, speed increase, and price. I would like a suggestion with good reasoning behind it, not just "GET M1 DICTATOR" with no reasoning behind it. I need a complete, thorough idea/review of which one to buy.

Keep in mind I will buy Tundra, Corrosion, or Desert with it. I'd like suggestions about that too as well, since I will get one of these paints with the hull I buy.

Also, which turret should I equip with my hull? I have every M1 besides Shaft and Ricochet (I have the turret kit), so it'd be nice to have a solid combination with good paint.

It all depends on your playstyle. If you like speed and can play without alot of armor then hornet is a good choice paired up with a close range turret. If you prefer to have decent armor but lack a bit in speed then dictator is a good choice especially when paired with railgun or thunder, just keep in mind that dictator is a big hull. If you want good armor and decent speed then hunter is great. It is the most balanced of the hulls and goes great with any turret you want

Really depends on what types of matches you play, but from what I've seen, Hunter is a fairly solid hull... and I feel that Rico complements it nicely. Unfortunately, you don't have that, so... I'm not sure. (My experience with Hunter is with M0 on my alt... (haha) and my friends' reviews)

 

As for paints, either Tundra or Desert will work, just not Corrosion (though protects from 3 turrets, it provides too little). That choice is mainly up to what matches you play... say a Monte Carlo or Stadium CTF would be best done with Tundra, and Desert might be good in shorter range battles.

I'm close to ranking, and for Lt. Colonel I will just save (and buy M2 Thunder). But then Colonel comes, and M2 Smoky, M2 Wasp, and M2 Titan unlock. I am definitely getting Wasp, but I can't decide between Smoky or Titan. Titan provides an excellent, strong addition to my garage, where my strongest hull is Hunter. Smoky is outright epic at M2, but so is Titan... and I will be getting M3 Thunder at Brigadier, so would that make Smoky a bit of a waste? Smoky and Thunder are perhaps the two most similar turrets in the game, so would it not be worth it to have both?

My garage is: M2 Hunter, M1 Thunder, M1 Railgun, M1 Ricochet, M1 Firebird, M1 Smoky, M1 Wasp, M1 Dictator, Digital, and Rustle. (useless items excluded :P)

I have smoky, rail, isida, firebird all m1, i am considering for thunder m1 as it is pretty strong, should i buy thunder m1 in near future if theres a discount, or invest in rail m2 and maybe hornet/dictator m2, i only have wasp, titan and mammoth m1.

M1 Hunter - it's super versatile, insane stats, and a dream at M2-M4. This hull will NEVER disappoint you.

Don't get Corrosion. I have it on my alt @Vettefan22, and I liked it... until I got Digital and Rustle on trom. Now Corrosion seems way too cheap for me. Tundra vs. Desert - I have Desert on Vette also, and it is pretty good! @Lord-of-the-Snipers can tell you that it is quite an insane MUer! Great against Rico. Tundra... I don't have it, but I have Digital, and wow, my MUed 39% Railgun protection works wonders... Tundra will not disappoint you. The question really is - what do you hate more? Railgun or Ricochet?

 

Hunter goes will with EVERY turret ;)

If it has to be between Hornet and Viking: Viking M3

 

In XP you can continue with your Hornet M2. It is a small handicap compared to a Hornet M3 for sure: but it will work.

In time you can still get a M3.

 

In DM 's you will start to suffer against the Viking M3 's and other heavier M3 hulls.

Especially the ones with micro-upgraded damage/HP.

So there 's definitely IMO more need to get a M3 here.

 

That leaves parkour. And I 'm a parkour-noob. I guess you need the HP of an Hornet M3 to survive

some tricks: but I leave this to somebody else.

 

Still, I do feel that the Viking M3 is more essential for you.

Since I'm not a parkour noob, I'll answer that part :P

M2 Hornet should be ok for most parkour, the modification of the weapons are really what matter most due to impact power. IMO you should be using medium hulls for ramps most of the time, and M3 Hornet is heavier than M2 so doing the flying wouldn't have much difference (speed cancels out the weight pretty much).

Makes since; I've heard quite some people mention that they regret purchasing M3 Hornet in the first place.

So I have ,M1 Firebird, M1 Smoky, M1 Thunder, M1 Railgun, M1 Hornet, M1 Viking and M1 Mammoth. I cant decide which gun to upgrade? When I was at Warrant Officer 4 or so, Thunder M1 was BEAST! But now its kinda sucky. So my question is should I get M2 Thunder or M2 Railgun. I am defiantly going to get M2 Hornet when I level up, by the way. I am a bit better with using railgun right now. I have 115k crystals at the moment. The maps I mostly play in are: Rio, Silence, Stadium, Monte Carlo, Industrial Zone, and Serpuhov. Those maps, in my opinion are medium and big so I think maybe Railgun would be better in them. I tried to give as much info as possible. I hope thats enough information for you guys to give me an accurate answer. If you need more info, just tell me, I'd be more than happy to share more info. Oh and one more thing, the best paint I have right now is Corrosion.

For CTF, what is the best attacking combo (I like light combos and despise Ricochet, which is m0)? Also, is twins m2 a better investment or firebird m2? Last but not least... If you want to play CTF I think it would be a good idea to use something like Freeze or Firebird when attacking enemy bases. Those weapons are close-range but good for killing a lot of people or in this case, tanks. Railgun is more of a camp-shoot-and hide type of weapon, not the weapon that gets you kill streaks. So like I said use Firebird or Freeze when attacking.

 

I would say that Twins M2 would be more profitable for you. But I or anyone else cant give you a accurate answer without knowing your gaming style. You need to provide more info to get an accurate answer. Provide info such as:

-the maps you play in the most

-game mode you play the most (Deathmatches? CTF? TDM?)

 

As for your last question, we also need to know the maps you play in and stuff. In small-medium maps, Twins is good. In medium-big maps Thunder rules. But if you use a small, light tank for Twins and you are stealthy you can beat Thunder most of the times in medium-big maps. Hope I helped. :)

What should I buy Swash or Tundra? I have m2 Isida, m2 Railgun, and m2 Firebird (next sale), and more. I want the Tundra for clan wars (I'm in a clan) but I want the Swash for my firebird. LoL, I'm not sure what to get.

Having said that, on large maps, you may want something faster. Then pretty much every weapon is useable I think, but again map dependent. On smaller maps, something like Fire/Freeze/Isida/Twins/Rico/Smoky, on larger maps Smoky/Thunder and Rail may be usable. SHaft never

 

@@Rouge75 most weapons are great at the rank they unlock but as you rank they become worse - Railgun would be good with your hornet :)

i got swash and i find it useless

protections are low and dont help much

tundra provides good protection against the most common weapon in tanki and never loses its value

thunder is really good and versatile and you will rarely find people with protection vs it

rail is good just to many tundra, digital, prodigis out there so its harder 

rail is good on tdm and ctf (not really for capturing) and cp (if your not anywhere near the cp)

thunder is great for all just depending on how you use it (watch gor self damage though) 

corrosion is a good paint and i have a general ranked friend that still uses it

Thank you also. I am not a very patient person so if theres a sale I go and grab a lot of items otherwise waiting 2-3 days is like a month to me so I dont really like to wait. But crystals is not a problem for me so I might get both Rail and Thunder M2. When I was a noob I loved Thunder.
