What to buy? Which is better?

personally hunter is really strong at m1 and would go well with railgun but i would save for m2 rail considering that m1 rail can hold its own even up 2 the major ranks

I'm going with either M2 Freeze or M2 Isida... M2 Railgun can wait for later, because M1 Railgun is very good!

 

To be fair, M2 Isida/M2 Isida is what I'm thinking, though honestly, M2 Freeze is just as good if not better than M2 Isida

 

Still, I can't decide between M2 Freeze and M2 Isida... I'm not really sure Isida is suited to my gameplay as much as freeze, since I love flag-capturing... But M2 Isida is just sooo beautiful, and combined with Hornet it really looks awesome...

Go for freeze! Isida is good, but I find it a bit boring. Freeze is very versatile. It is good at attacking and assists, and is the best at defending. With a few micro upgrades, it becomes really powerful. I still use it a lot. As for looks, I personally find freeze better looking than isida. But, then and again, that's a matter of opinion. Anyway, don't choose a turret based on it's looks. Choose the turret which you have more fun with.

I would get thunder m2 first. Thunder is more versatile than railgun and you can use it in a lot of maps and in every game mode effectively. You wouldn't get bored of it fast. It will also be easier and faster to earn crystals with thunder for railgun than with railgun for thunder due to Thunder's splash damage, which is effective at gaining a lot of kills very fast. If you want to rank up fast...just buy thunder or smoky,

I suggest neither mammy or wasp cause mammy M1 is BORING and wasp M2 unlocks way late

 

just buy a medium like hunter or VIK

I am new to Tanki and still using the default turrent (M0 Smoky) and hull (M0 Hunter), with some micro-upgrades. My rank is Sergeant at this moment. I realised that most of the time (> 90%) I am not able to destroy an enemy tank (with Hornet or Hunter hull, similary rank player, without double armoured) within 5 shots (including one critical hit). My tank is then killed before I can destory the enemy tank. I would like to know should I keep on micro-upgrading my gun (demage) and armour (protection) or I should go for some other turrents and hulls ? It is very frustration for me but I don't want to buy crystals with real money. What should I do ? Any suggestions ? Thanks.

Don't micro-upgrade.

Don't buy supplies.

Save up for a M1 turret/hull but wait for a sale (perhaps at Easter).

Log on every day to get your gifts, even if you don't play.

Be patient and watch your crystal stash steadily grow.

Read through the forum, there are some good posts that'll help.

 

Early on I preferred a hornet and twins.

Me too.  I'm an expert at low rank playing...5 accounts :P  and I find I had the best time with freeze and hornet, but it does take some skill to operate.

I use Shaft, it's OP at low ranks, because newbies almost always use Hornet, which is easy pickings. :)

 

I joined a CTF Serpuhov with Viking/Shaft M0 against 3 Wasps with 1 flag down, I ended the battle with 4 flags captured and 18 kills. B)

Thank you for all your suggstions. So i will consider either stop upgrading, collect daily gifts and go for the M1s or get another turrent.

BTW is Isida good ? I am able to buy it with my rank now, when I have enough crystals. I saw Isidas healed team mates tanks and also did close combats. It is cool.

Should I get Shaft M2 when there is a 50% off sale or a special on Shaft? My style is sniping so you won't find me flag capturing. When I play with higher ranks in maps like Noise or Silence, I just sit back at the flag and defend it which is why I think Shaft would be good. When I play with my ranks, it's kinda the same story although I am a bit more mobile and adventurous in terms of where I position myself. I already have Rail M2 and I have Hornet M2 as my hull. The reason I am considering it is because of all those higher ranks with Prodigi and my Rail takes of like 15% of their health which is terrible for flag defending. 

 

So yeah, use Shaft M2 or stick with the Rail M2 and save for something else?

id go for freeze bcause isida does get a little repetative after a while and freeze looks better than isida with hornet

Since you are at M0 stage, you should only micro-upgrade every parameter to no more than the first 7 steps out of 20 (or 2 out of 5, etc.) The Micro-Upgrades don't give you much of a bonus, but rather make you waste your crystals and you won't have enough for the next upgrade (M1). Instead you should change your tactics - ignore the tank with double armour or other bonuses and go for the weaker one instead, so that way you'll have a better chance at killing them.
