I'm also comparing between this and Rico M4, with Viking M4. What would be a better choice?

Rico is more useful weapon on many maps than hammer. It simply works much better than hammer at any range, even good close up.  And hammer's "spread" does not compare at all to Rico's bounce shot ability. Nothing does. TBH

 

What is more important , IMO, when facing hammer, et. al., is having a hull that can take at least 300+ points of damage. 

 

It looks like viking M3 to (M4) doesn't really have to "juice" to deal with either hammer or rico at comparable levels.

 

At close range battles , like Polygon, Viking seems like the absolute weakest hull you should play. I myself , would not go into a short range battle with anything less than Dictator.

I actually use Hammer and Thunder with Viking in Polygon, and I normally have the highest score without the use of too many drugs, even against Field Marshals.

Is stinger kit a good buy for this rank? :ph34r: Thinking of using it until Brig. along with that Dicotet kit M2.

 

The decision between Rico M4 & Hammer M4:

The problem with Polygon CPs is that... anything goes (And it depends where you spawn). So, it depends on who hit first.Most Ricos I see always fire the first shot. Dicotet M3 is something I haven't tried. The jackhammer kit works okay even while clean, but reload is still annoying.

It leans toward Rico because it can fire 8 shots in less than 3.5 seconds. Hammer needs 3.6 seconds to fire 3 shorts. Also longer range is to Rico's advantage. Also if you can kill someone with 2 Rico shots, you just shoot two shots. You do not waste a full Hammer shot, etc.

I actually did not say easily. It is close.

By the way, according to the latest re-balance, Freeze is the strongest DPS, followed by Rico and Twins. Fire comes next. Fire though has the after-burn. Isida with its self-healing can kill Freeze (or any of the above) although its DPS is lower than all above. That is kind of weird.

Hornet m3, Emerald for sure, leaving me about 150k. Freeze and 1100 drugs, Isida and 1100 drugs, or Freeze and 70k of MUs or Isida and 70k of MUs? I'm thinking drugs would be more effective than a few dozen parameter upgrades. I still can't decide between Freeze and Isida, regardless.

I just dont like it how many Items dont have a kit (Hunter M3,Shaft M3, Rico M3)

And viking M3 has 3 kits dedicated to it...

You need 30K on the next 3 days and 15K on the four days after that. You need to play quite a bit or be lucky.

 

I had miserable luck tonight. 2 long battles we lost them in the last third. We even lost a stupid short battle. I can't believe my luck tonight!
