Yep. If you plan on using Smoky a lot, grabbing Viking would not be a bad choice either. You will have a lot of versatility between Hornet and Viking. Once 5,000 crystals is noting to you, I would also highly recommend getting the 50% Score Multiplier Pass. 

 

So overall, I recommend:

Turrets: Smoky, Railgun, Firebird (If you need a change of pace and need a high DPS weapon)

Hulls: Hornet, Viking

Paints: Forester (10% Railgun) should last you until you can pick up Tundra (30% Railgun, 10% Smoky).

 

2 (possibly 3) turrets + 2 hulls + 1 noob paint (until an only half-noob paint unlocks). This should enable you to keep everything you are using upgraded when the next M becomes available. Good luck! :)

If you really need it now, go ahead. Otherwise I would wait until a sale (there may be one in September, definitely one for Halloween).

 

By "really need it now" I mean that you do not already have another M3 hull or the only M3 hull you have is Dictator/Titan/Mammoth (which you only have if you bought a kit).

i prefer rico freeze almost lost all it power in the rebalance but if u looking for a gin to be used in liutenent ranks then freeze cuz it is cheap to get m2 :D

Ricochet is one of the most deadly weapons in the game, IF YOU CAN HANDLE IT PROPERLY. It is very difficult to get all ten shots in a clip to hit one single target, especially if that target is moving. While Freeze unlocks M2 and M3 earlier than Ricochet's M2 and M3 respectively, it has lost a lot of power in the rebalance. So I would go with Ricochet, with the stipulation that you spend a lot of time practicing with it. If you cannot turn your turret at all, neither one is for you.

Wasp is just like any other turret if you know how to play with it then you will be in a road of finding the top of your favorite tank, but my suggestion on wasp combination would be a great mix with hammer, it has a powerful feeling that can take you a long way for extra kills and fast movement.

Are you really asking if you should get an m2 or an m1 first? Get rail if you are really into xp, and put thunder on hold, because it really got nerfed. If there is another rebalance that fixes thunder, then go for it. Thunder is generally better in normal battles. I am a fan of dictator/thunder, and do recommend it, but until thunder gets better, invest in dictator.

well , don't think about m1 ever , now think about m2 , rank up and got railgun m2 , it's good , always use it , because when you be big rank you have skills in xp battles , and u can get a good clan .

Firebird M1 unlocked many ranks ago for you. Wail until M2 unlocks and then buy up to that all at once because Firebird M1 is becoming weak at your rank unless you pump Double Power all the time. Also, it is usually better to wait for a 50% sale than buy kits, which are usually only 30% to 40%.

Wasp with Smoky, give it a few Micro Upgrades and you've got yourself a nasty little tank that will take you clear through the Lieutenant ranks, and even more if you give it some love ;) Since you have Hammer too, having Wasp with it is also a good deal...a skilled Hammer-Wasp user isn't someone you want to mess with! Just make sure you get that Hammer to M2 asap...it's worth it.

Wait for a sale! If you already have a medium hull, Wasp is great as a second hull. Wasp as your main hull without any other alternative m3 hulls to use, doesn't really work.

I prefer Hornet because it's stabler and you'll encounter less influences while driving when your opponents are firing at you. Wasp gets shot upside down too easily.

I'm a huge fan of XP battles, so I'd go for Railgun. If you're doubting whether to buy Railgun m2 or Thunder m1, go for Railgun m2. M2 is always better than m1.

I'd go for the firefly kit. Firebird is more pleasant to play with. Smoky is still worth it after the re-balance, though Firebird has my preference.

You've got a light and medium hull, which are the most important types of hulls to have in my opinion. I just leave my heavy hulls rusting in my garage. As for the weapons, I think it's better to change Smoky for a long range weapon, like Thunder or Railgun. It's good only upgrading those (the ones you mentioned besides Smoky) to m2. You don't need all weapons/hulls. It's better to make a choice of certain weapons and hulls, so you save some crystals to get them m3 in the future instead of wasting crystals to the m2 modification of every single turret and hull.
