What to buy? Which is better?

Hi guys. I am saving up crystals to either buy m2 ricochet or smoky. I am currently torn between which one to get. I have tried both on my nub acct and they are both equally fun. Ricochet seems more versatile but smoky seems like it will last me for a longer time. I'd like your opinion on this matter. Thanks.

I dont know what your playstyle is, but Smoky is (in my opinion) the best all round m2. Its really fun to use, and it will last you for a long time. Totally worth the buy

Thanks. I'm usually that guy who hangs around polygon cps with firebird so I'd say I'm a bit of an aggressive player. Anyways, I've seen videos of smoky m2 gameplay and I've tried it out on the test server too so I think that I'll go with smoky m2.

When you reach the unlock rank for something, you buy it at that modification and skip modifications before it that you did not purchase.

 

For example, Smoky M3 unlocks at . If you reach that rank, buy you never bought Smoky M1 or M2, you can still buy it M3.

If you can get by and wait until M2 Twins and M2 Smoky or Hammer then you will be set for M2 turrets. M2 Hornet is a great choice, but also look into getting a medium or heavy hull to compliment it.

No, I meant that if you choose Hammer M2 at your rank, then at you could have an option to get Thunder M3. Getting Thunder M3 at would have save cost since you do not have to pay the cost of M2 Thunder.

 

Personally I have used Thunder M2 but I found it to be sluggish, so I stop using it at and switched to Twins M2 using Minotaur kit. In theory, it would have worked until at least.

 

Thunder M3 by itself is actually so-so. The power of Thunder only shows at M3+ to M4. You can see an example in my brother @L.I.B.E.R.A.T.O.R score in POTD.

 

I also have another option that I can offer to you: Stop thinking about buying both Hammer M2 & Thunder M2, and use your Fire M2 until the ranks, then get what you wish. :)

 

P.S I don't really care about rank ups honestly, I only care about how much crystals I earned in the game :P

Well, I don't know if I would be getting m3 Thunder, but I may get m3 Hammer. Your advice tells me to therefore buy Thunder m2, but you still recommend Hammer m2. At the moment, I am now leaning towards Hammer m2, or nothing. I want something other than M2 Firebird because I think that gameplay may get boring. I think I will get Hammer m2, since you found Thunder's reload sluggish (and other reasons, for example, my playing style), plus probably Hunter m2 to match both Firebird and Hammer. I already have m2 Hornet, so now I will have a pair of turrets, and hulls. I don't think I will buy a paint yet, as I may not have enough money, and Cedar isn't really needed by me much at the moment.

No problem and good luck from now till Christmas racking up the crystals! I have an account the same rank as yours, panamatriple3, and it has thunder m2. Personally it feels quite boring to play with and while it is decent, it wont be in a couple ranks. So yes, go for that fire m2 and possibly hammer m2, and skip the paint. Good luck.

So I was informed that there are no longer SMPs... The only way to gain some % of SMP, without being inactive for a month and getting the "welcome back" kit, would be to purchase a premium account. If I do, it'll be for only 1 month, since I want to get as high rank and earn as any crystals as possible before the holidays. I would like you guys' inputs. :)

Yes, but the purpose of the premium account would be for me to rank up enough for me to purchase a good m3 kit. All the ones under General aren't that great in my opinion. I want to be a high-ish rank before the holidays, since there will most likely be a sale on crystals then.

 

Is it even worth buying an m3 kit? I don't know what the status of Tanki X is. I don't know if our accounts can be transferred to there or if it comes out in a month -- in which case, would be pointless to buy the kit on the current version.

 

So I would rather not buy the premium account AND the kit. If I don't get the account, and Tanki X is all good and well, which kit should I buy? (I predict that I'll be ranked Lieutenant General.)

 

- Centaur kit (I'm not the greatest Shaft player)

- Medic kit (I have Thunder protection from Rustle already, have Isida m2, and I have Hunter m2, so I don't know if buying Viking m3 is the best choice)

- Boreas kit (Wasp might be fun to drive, but I don't know about Freeze, since I have Fire and Isida m2)

- Paladin kit (Don't really need the Freeze protection from Inferno, and I don't know about Viking m3)

- same the crystals and get the higher-ranked kits

I recommend Firebird because you unlock its m1 quickly and you become overpowered in your battles. While twins require a long time before you upgrade it to m1

Since you would be aiming for m1s, don't MU your turrets, but save for the next modification. If you really want to MU, then upgrade the first few levels only (they should be quite cheap).

Are you talking about m0s? If so, then Maybe Twins until you get something better. If you mean m1s, then I would suggest Firebird, because it is cheaper, but if you do not care about price then go for Twins. The added range is good.

Go for the titan/twins/smoky kits at my rank if possible. If you don't rank up by then, go with paladin.
