What to buy? Which is better?

Is Cardinal (Twins/Titan/Picasso) worth it? I mainly want the Twins and I'll need another 80K cry. I'm not worried about rank but I'm worried about Picasso since its protections aren't that relevant at the moment (e.g. Shaft and Freeze)

I bought Cardinal a while back when it was last available, and it was definitely worthwhile IMO. Twins, are well, exactly as good as you expect them to be. Titan ticks all the boxes for a heavy hull, and I've found myself using Picasso very often for the respectable Thunder and Railgun protections.

I bought Cardinal a while back when it was last available, and it was definitely worthwhile IMO. Twins, are well, exactly as good as you expect them to be. Titan ticks all the boxes for a heavy hull, and I've found myself using Picasso very often for the respectable Thunder and Railgun protections.

Now I think about it, I might not have bought it when it was last available - it has probably been available at some point since (and I wouldn't have known because I already had it.)

According to some screenshots I found, I bought it around May/June time.

I can't speak for all of them, but I would personally rate Zeus and Lumberjack over Graffiti and Raccoon.

I don't know what you think of Shaft, but a 41% discount is great. We're hoping for a 50% during the Christmas Sales, but recently there haven't been any. I'm not really hoping for heaps. Anyway, 41% is close to 50%. You will lose about 17k if you buy it now instead of during a 50%. I would go for it if you fancy Shaft; if there was a sale on everything, would you buy it then? Hope you can decide.

The discount is actually 41.5%. :)

 

I do not think there will ever be any 50% sale because we have the group discount on hulls and turrets. I have the 10% group discount on them now. A normal 50% sale will bring that down to 55% off. Some people may even get 60% off. I can't see TO allowing that. If there is a kit discount, that would be dirt cheap. It can't happen. Imagine something at 85% off. No way, Jose!

 

What irritates me is that they did not give me a test drive to help me decide. If it were Railgun or even Freeze, I would have gotten it without a second thought. I would have even gotten a Hammer.

I agree about Graffiti because Shaft is pretty rare, which should call for a rebalance, but thankfully the devs are too busy doing other useless junk.

 

Raccoon is pretty good though because all 4 turrets are popular. Lumberjack is good but too expensive because Hammer protection is practically useless. You are no longer a sergeant.

I personally wouldn't go for Africa, because first of all it is very costly, and second, it requires upgrades to make it usable, which, of course, are difficult uless you have no life or you have $$$. The only thing good for Taiga is Isida protection. You can get that with Lumberjack. When you spend 90K more on Taiga, it gets you nowhere either.

 

Africa is good for large maps, which I rarely play. You also need to spend about a million crystals on it to make it effective. You are better off spending that kind of crystals elsewhere.

^ If you want to avoid the death pit, you can use protection against Vulcan and Twins. If you want to go into it, you need protection against Fire, and if you want to use Thunder, you have to have protection against yourself.

I've now come to the point in my Tanki-career where I need to decide on a paint which I'll want to buy.

 

I mostly play in Polygon, Noise, Kungur, Island and all the other regular ones.

 

These are my options:

 

• Lumberjack
• Nano
• Rock
• Zeus

I'm leaning towards buying either Rock (since it protects against 2 of the most OP turrets in the game, Isida and Twins, but this paint is rather monotonous...) or Nano (good looking, protecting against a good range of turrets, all found in the maps I mostly play in, but does lack a good Firebird protection (only 10%), but on the other hand, has very good protection against Hammer (30%), Ricochet (28%) and Smoky (20%) and is relatively cheap (231k).... Zeus has amazing protection against Fire, Freeze and Smoky but is very expensive, and Lumberjack is a very good overall paint with 3 30% protections....

 

HELP!

I dont know what is common at your rank, but I assume Firebirds are everywhere. So, Id go with zeus if there are lots of smokys or lumberjack if there are lots of isidas.
