What to buy? Which is better?

Either smoky or thunder, as smoky has a fast shot, and thunder has splash, which is useful in noise due to all of the objects that are everywhere.

The maps you mentioned (Monte Carlo and Stadium) are horrible for Thunder. Thunder is the best for medium and somewhat small maps; one good example is Polygon. In Sandbox due to small team sizes, Thunder is tied with Smoky in strength (imo), but in really small maps like Island, short range turrets are better. To answer your question about its range, I would say that the length of Sandbox is where its most effective (prob a bit shorter) although I find thunder somewhat usable in large map like kungur.

Okay, thanks. I can sorta believe that, but Thunder has better range than Rico and Twins, doesn't it (I know it still damages at longer ranges, but wouldn't that be a bit extreme? I wanted a turret with range; not heaps, but nevertheless a good one. Could you give me suggestions?

What distances is Thunder effective before losing most of its damage? For example, how well will it do in Stadium? In Monte Carlo, how close would I need to get for it to be nearly at its best? I probably wouldn't be using it in maps like these, but it helps if you know the turret's range. Also, I may end up playing on larger maps for missions, or friend requests. Thanks!

Previous post by HaloScorpionV2 made me kinda sad, the thought of tanki as we know it being an after thought, as most players will begin to move to tanki X as soon as it is released this spring. All the time spent on here, the memories and friends made...... I dunno it just struck a cord in me i guess. But my main problem is once i rank up Fracture and Cedar become available. I want one lol. I just don't know which one would be best, since both thunders and railgun m1's are everywhere. so yeah guys help lol. also any opinions on titan m1? is worth it?

Ok first of all. M2 Smoky at your rank is ridiculous - you could honestly use your "M1" Smoky all the way up to Colonel. Anyways, because you are technically "set" on a turret (e.g. you don't exactly need to save for a M2 Turret anytime soon unless you get bored of Smoky) I would go ahead and buy some paints (I recommend Cedar).

 

Mammy M2 unlock earlier than Titan M2 but both will last into the gold star ranks (Brig - General). I know that's a long ways away but you'll probably want M2 Titan for a heavy hull after Colonel (just cause it's not as sluggish). For now, since Titan M1 is so cheap, buying it (at sale) won't really hurt you crystal-wise at all (M1 Mammoth was cheap enough). 

 

Just curious - how did you get your Smoky so heavily upgraded? Was it the MU update?

Titan M1 is good for small maps or sometimes for defense in medium maps. I have it. Titan and Smoky go well together.

For the paints, if you want Rail protection then why not get Tundra.. it has 30% protection and is REALLY HANDY. I use it a lot. Anyway Fracture's Vulcan protection isn't much and same Smoky protection is offered by Tundra. As for Cedar, 32% Thunder is really helpful but only prefer buying Cedar if you play Small/Medium maps more, otherwise go for Tundra.

Dude IDK why all the Warrant Officer-ish ranked players MUed their M1s. Its like it was a noob move until now but now they're strutting around with unofficial M2. Too bad I didn't MU mine.

I like the speedy one, but Dictator m1 is almost same fast as a hornet m0. And I just need that much speed. I think dictator is better but just for fun XD tell me your opinion.

 

I have 36000 crystal 

What if I have extra crystals? what should I buy than?

 

Plus now, I only have mammoth m1. ( bought buffalo kit before )

loool yeah it was that one update. before i just had damage almost fully MU but now everything is lol. hmm maybe if save enough crystals i can get both if there's a sale soon lol.

oh so those numbers are %'s not how much damage they take away exactly? lol but yeah ok i'll look into tundra. its a nice looking paint too. not as good as fracture, but still nice i guess.

Ha that's a hard call. If New Years is 40% you only save like 2K if you buy now. If it's 50%, you lose 17K for buying now. Xmas prob won't be  50% but maybe 45% maybe but it's hard to tell now. 41% is pretty decent so if you buy now I think you'll be fine

Buy Twins M1.. it is really OP with Dictator in Polygon CP. Defending flags with Dictator isn't exactly a perfect job, but I believe you can buy Thunder M1 and do a decent job with it on medium maps.

Don't buy Hammer M1 if you don't like to attack but it is really good I have test driven it.

Hunter M1... do you really want ANOTHER medium hull? Why not buy a smaller hull?

Buy Hornet M1.

You will have around 20k+ left. Buy a decent paint like Corrosion, Desert, etc.
