What to buy? Which is better?

Recommended Posts

My equipment is

Shaft M4
Twins M3(9/50)
Smoky M2(18/50)
Isida M1
Firebird M1
Railgun M0
Thunder M0

Dictator M2 (35/50 MU)
Mammoth M2 (25/50)
Viking M1
Wasp M0
Hunter M0

Old paints
Jade
Mars
Cherry
Sandstone
Dragon
Lead
Swamp

A good amount of drugs(I increase my drug amount gradually)
And 515k crystals

I guess I will have about 620k when I reach Gsimmo rank, possibly before Tanker's day.

I will definetely buy some hulls, most likely 2 of Hunter, Dictator and Mammoth

I am considering buying Smoky M3, but I most likely won't... Most likely I will buy Hunter instead of Smoky

I also want to buy some protection. My plan is either supporting my only one M4 as good as possible and combining my Twins with a good protection and a suitable hull, or supporting my only M4 as good as possible and covering my slow hulls with suitable weapons on every range..

I am thinking one of these=

Smoky-Railgun-Ricochet

Thunder-Railgun-Ricochet

Smoky-Railgun-Thunder

Which one should I prefer?

Ok, I don't know what decision to make, and I would appreciate any help.

I have exactly 24,000 crystals. I have bought one m1 kit; I can't remember the name, but it came with dirty, smoky m1, hornet m1 and I think eagle d-a m1. Earlier this week in the chat, I asked a generalissimo what I should do next in terms of kits, and he said I should stop buying m1 kits and save for an m2 kit. His general advice was to have one m1 kit, have one m2 kit, and then buy lots of m3 kits.

However, I find it difficut with just one m1 hull, and I need to get viking m1 to be more competent in terms of health. Should I follow his advice and just wait for an m2 kit and buy viking m1 by itself, or still go ahead and buy viking m1 in a kit? It seems like a waste of money to just get viking by itself without the discount, and I don't know what to do.

Any help would be welcome

Titan M1 in the upcoming tanker's day sale might not be a bad idea if you're looking for health - it's relatively cheap, and it's a good hull to be used with Smoky in short to mid-range battles. It really depends on the maps you play.

It's probably a good idea not to buy any more M1 kits until you can buy early M2 kits (around WO4-5) or at least M1/M2 kits (around WO2-3), since Smoky'll be able to last until then.

You don't have to only buy one M2 kit - I'd recommend getting an early M2 kit, then a late M2 kit (Lieutenant ranks) with OP turrets like Fire, Twins, and/or Smoky, which can compete with early M3s and can last quite a while.

DM battles are always fun too :P

Also, you said I should get Firebird M3 for the diversity. #mypoorfreeze With that in mind, let's say the sale offers a 40% discount. With that in mind, I would be able to spend 218k on MU'ing Isida. If I didn't get Firebird, I would be able to spend 350k on MU'ing Isida.

Also, Grizzly T-B vs Grizzly T-C vs Shark T-F?

Question: What should I buy in chronological order? M3 Firebrid, M4 Isida, new modules, and then more MU's? Just very curious.

I play XP, but not as often as before since I joined a clan. It gets repetitive. For supplies, I play Noise CTF and, although not frequently, Rio CTF. Without supplies (with/without MU's), I play Arena CP, Island CP, Hill CTF, and Polygon CP.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad option to MAX out Isida even if there are lots of protections out there. It does make the difference in team battles, and it is probably one of the most OP turrets with supplies. I just want to know if you think it's worth getting Firebird M3 now to get that out of the way or just wait, keep MU'ing my Isida and also get some new protections soon or not.

I think I can wait a little longer on the modules and get Firebird M3 if I am selective with my battles, and I stick to my current routine with battles.

I only play W/F DMs as of now due to people teaming up on me in Poly and I hate that. Maybe I will try again when DM tourneys are up.

There is actually no right answer. You could have a stronger Isida as a support role and stick to healing defenders or Fire M3 to switch when there's people already taking up the healing positions. It highly depends on how you feel. You can also get 1-2 New modules to support your M4 Isida too. I think Grizzly T-C (because it's close to Raccoon Module without rail.) would be more useful in Noise CTF and Hill CTF. For small maps, not so much.

Nowadays, I'm starting to wonder if protection matter or team work matters more in maps...

Which M2 kit? The early ones or the late ones? What mode/maps you play?

My target is playing on every map, but I play DM on maps no smaller than Sandal or Atra, CP on every map (preferably crowded ones), and CTF only as defender.

It is true. The biggest factor to winning any team battle is having a good team. Protection only comes when you are faced with an equal competition. Then, that is when variety will come in handy. I will get Firebird M3 and Grizzly T-C instead of Isida M3+ and Lion T-B because I will be able to play in W/H+F battles without having to use Nano LGC and I can have my first good module against Isidas that like to attack. I think that will be a nice module for DM Tournaments. After I save up enough, I will get Lion T-B, Isida M4, and either Kodiak T-A or Shark T-B for long range modules.

Should I buy Firebird M1 or Freeze M1?

I have to say that it really depends, although Fire M1 is a better pick. Freeze has better DPS but has late unlock and is overshadowed by Freeze M2, however Freeze M2 is not the OPest gun out there.

Fire is good. When it unlocks it is a MONSTER, especially in Poly CPs. Equip with Viking or maybe Titan, equip a double power, and everyone will fear you.

However, the bottom line is always the same: buy what you want, if you buy something you dislike that guarantees your failure.

Firebird vs Ram? I'm already buying Anaconda and Mosquito.

Get Ram - they both have good turrets, but I know you like using Vulcan and Titan's a lot better with it than Hunter. Also, Fire/Dict and Vulcan/Hunter are a lot worse than Twins/Dict and Vulcan/Hunter. Ram's also a little cheaper since Firewall has Hohloma pulling up the price.

Edit: I assumed you were talking about Firewall...If you actually meant Firebird, I'd still get Ram cause then you'd be able to use Vulcan/Titan. If you don't mind using the Dict for a while longer then get Fire and save the crys for M3 kits.
