Moose, Smoky has somewhat evolved (over the update) into more of that close range annoying type of weapon, and Hunter has gotten a health buff, so Aborigine is good. I would go for Northerner, but that's just my style of play :)

Save up for a good kit it will be worth the pain right now.I saved up when i had m1 thunder m1 viking till major and now i have fire m2 30/50 and dic m2 15/50

skip isida M2 as it is trash and get Simoom (it's what I would do) or get Stinger + Viking M1 if you really want Izzy

If you're gonna just buy Vik M1, you might as well save the 40k (I think) and just buy Osaka... apparently Hunter's way better than Viking. IDK.

Might want to look into Hunter M1. Not sure about the unlock rank but since Viking and Hunter recently switched stats, Hunter is a more stable hull.

As I said, Osaka. Unlocks at WO3 - Isida M2, Hunter M1, and one of my fav paints, Tundra. And one of those danged random modules. I'm never even gonna try remembering the names of those...

You should skip the isida m2 for the reason that it is not a big upgrade from m1,but viking m1 is worth to save up for and will last you a very long time... :)

I would suggest Glaze if you want something like the Fireworks kit,it is very fun to play with,its not worth buying hornet m2 again.Another strong kit is northerner if you like mid-fielding,smokey is perhaps the best m2 and has very fast reload.If you like DM mode,than Minotaur and Pitbull are the better options,but glaze can do well in them too.Firewall does very high DPS and if you can buy the compact tanks alteration(100000 crystals) it can last you to marshal.Firewall if mostly for shorter to medium range maps like Noise,Polygon,Rio,Arena,and Pass.Minotaur is a great kit for longer ranges if you buy the twins alteration and can work almost in any map.Hammer m2 is a good weapon but gets outclassed by m3s as you go up ranks.The m2s that are considered the best m2s' are the twins,firebird,and smokey.Everything depends on your time of playing style.Go with your gut. :)

Unless he buys the alteration he will get killed by the m3s at higher ranks. :wacko: They never use wasp or hornet except xp/bp.Medium and large hulls run the playing fields at high ranks.

Just to clarify, I think Osaka comes with the Sakura paint, not Tundra. :)

If i were buying from scratch today I would get Hunter because I liked the old viking.

Yup. I skipped Hornet M2... went from Hornet m1 to Hornet M3. and this was before the "re-balance".

My main hull before the rebalance was Viking. I have not used either Hunter or Viking for a while, as I still have them both M0, but I think I would still like Viking, for the extra speed it has now, as well as being cheaper. I am really between Aborgine (Hunter) or Northerner (Viking) in terms of M2 kits. I don't really like using heavy hulls, they tend to bore me. :) I am not sure which is cheaper as a kit, Aborgine or Northerner, I will check now.

Ok I just checked the product kit Wiki, and Aborgine kit is about 206,000 crys, and Northerner is about 193,000 crys. There is really not a big difference in price, so I would like your opinion on which is better as a hull for Smoky.

The new viking drives differently than the old viking. It has some drift and takes getting used to. Have not driven new Hunter.

 

That being said Viking at M2 is better than Hunter at M2.  So unless the protection Module makes a huge difference to you Northerner might be your best choice.

 

When you get to M3 you will need to decide again - no drift vs a bit of extra speed.

I love wasp :D it's so much better than hornet in all places (except for at m1). I just got it because it came with Frez M2 in that Avalanche kit or whatnot. 

 

I would go for Firebolt but it's 5 ranks away and wasp is pretty squishy especially when playing with M3s at Captain+.... I would like to get a good M2 hull and turret pretty soon though so the Pitbull kit may be a worthy proposition. The only problem is that Pitbull costs 230K :/ 

 

I really like Hammer and want the 5 shot alteration so I may get Glaze.

I just checked your profile wolverine, and you have logged a lot of hours with Smoky M3. I am just curious about which hull you use most often with it. It would be very helpful for me to know what hull a high-ranker like you uses, and would help me to make my decision. Thanks :)

paired with smoky?  I would say... Viking=40%,  Titan=35% and Hunter=25%.  Rough estimate.

 

Depends on the Battle-mode and map.

Smaller maps like Polygon, Noise, and tiny ones like ping-pong, Island, Arena I use Titan. You need the health due to constant attacks.

For medium and large maps I use Viking - the extra speed makes for a lot better flexibility.

 

For DMs I use Titan more often. Same with CP that has only one or 2 capture points - you need health to survive long enough to capture.

For medium CP maps I use Viking.

For large CP maps I use Hornet - allows me to get to each point faster.

Well yes, I definitely prefer Sib over Osaka normally, however, I do enjoy using Isida occasionally, and this dude here says he likes it. Therefore... crap have to go I'm cooking something continue later
