What to buy? Which is better?

What paints looks awesome for thunder + viking ? (must be less than 10k).

Desert & Guerrilla look pretty good and you can buy both of them for 8.5k only  :o

Which should I buy? Thunder m2, rail m2, or wait to rank and buy twins?

Based on your recent progress what rank do you feel you will be by XMas sales?

 

If W02 or part-way into W03 then Vik m1 not a bad idea.  You will need a medium hull.  But you may need to put a few MUs on it to make it competitive past W03.  Hunter is better than Vik at m1 stage but does not unlock until WO4. See where you are at XMas.

 

What Kit do you have eye on?  A later M2 kit?  Then go for medium m1 hull as light m1 hulls struggle some at W04 and above.

Rail M2 for the XP/BP. Otherwise, spend the crystals on Micro-upgrades; make sure your equipment is powerful.  

 

AS you said, you probably won't be able to make the rank by Christmas.

At this point, is it still feasible for me to buy shaft m3 on a sale, or should I just focus all my crystals on MUs?

 

Currently have 236k, with 40 gold boxes (willing to drop all to myself if necessary)

Perhaps will have around 280k by Christmas if the weekly bonuses continue (plus the golds = 320k)

 

My m3 MUs so far, and my opinions on them:

 

Viking 10/20 - Definitely will get it to at least 15/20 in the near future

Thunder 6/20 - Too many protections, no more MUs will be done 

Smoky 6/20 - Too weak even with MUs, crystals could be better spent. Only if it gets a buff will i consider upgrading

Twins 5/20 - Definite contender, very powerful

Isida 2/20 - Also very powerful and also a contender, but perhaps not as versatile as twins (I have both twins alts)

Railgun 2/20 - Way too many protections, I only use this turret for xpbp

Titan 4/20 - A consideration, but my titan is normally used in PRO battles where MUs are off. 

Hornet 1/20 - Too weak a hull, my main use for it is xpbp

 

Narrows it down to:

Twins, Isida, Titan and Viking

 

Perhaps I should get the Isida, Titan and Twins to 10/20 and then buy the shaft? 

Or just get the Viking to 20/20, get my first m4 asap?

 

It just seems like shaft is such a dominating weapon that I really want to try it out.

I personally see shaft as a powerful turret. Which can be used well. However it makes gameplay very slow. Still powerful. But slow.

I'd recommend getting the m1 alt if you get shaft, and the rest of your MUs would be for Twins. I had it upgraded to 10/20 on Halloween, and its amazing. Simply amazing.

If really set on Shaft M3 save for it and MU 4-5 items 1-3 spots.

 

You won't want speed-ups for MUs so - if MU-ing spread them around a bit (and include your Protection Modules).

 

No point in getting Viking to 20/20 yet - the last few MUs are sooooo expensive for very little gain.

Finish the last few MUs much later - that is more of a luxury.

If you want Shaft prepare to use a lot of Double Damage during battles.

Hammer is a really good choice but if you want a turret for long-range maps you should buy railgun it is much better than thunder.

Not totally long range, and I am terrible with Railgun. I literally need to ask enemies to stand still because I'm a lousy shot and can't hit them otherwise.

If only slightly into W03 Vik m1 is a decent buy.

If closer to W04 Hunter m1 might be better buy. Hunter is slower than Vik at m1 but has a significant boost in Health.

 

See where you are when sale occurs.  If you do buy Viking at W03 you can also MU it a bit by time you reach rank where you would buy Hunter.

I am close to ranking up to Lieutenant General and have saved quite some crystals (around 700k)  :P

My current garage has fully MU-ed M2 Railgun, Viking and Wasp. Also an 9/10 M2 Smoky and some other M2's

Also I already have the High Caliber alteration for Railgun.

 

With the M3 kits becoming available at this rank: should I buy one? Because of the fully MU-ed M2's I do not profit 100% from all,

but because of the M3 modules and the early unlock AND the possibility to MU already (hopefully with Christmas sales) I am thinking I could have a nice kickstart into M3. 

 

I like to play Railgun a lot and used to play Twins/Thunder before.

Maybe the Healer Kit so I have an Isida M3? Or?
