Craziest thing happened today. I opened a container fot 100k crystals along with my saved up 77k. Server restarted EVERY thing was 50% off, I ranked up and got compact tanks and muing my firebird to 9/10! And my hunter to 7/10! Luckiest timing ever!

*UPDATE: Damn it, I can't get grizzly m1 because of my rank  Welp, guess I'll settle with rail prots for now.

Also, I have gotten rail m2 protection on this account, MUed it, dictator, and hornet once, got light capacitors, and I'm basically broke.  I have 52k left, so I'm wondering if I should still get Cyclops.  I can simply MU my shaft 1.3 to m2, and the protection isn't as important atm, since I need one more rank for thunder m2 protection.  

 

As for my lower acc I'm waiting for magnum, hunter, and smoky to reach m2 now.  Got Rail and Thunder m1 protection, will start Muing, have 21k crystals left.  Not gonna get alts for now since I'm broke.

Well , i see where you are going . I agree that i lately see a lot of mobile snipers , with the light capacitor . The question was however Mammoth M2 vs Titan M2 for shaft . The choice between those 2 is not your mobile sniper . If i have to choose between those 2 i go for Mammoth  as i explained before .

There is too much Thunder protection and too little Shaft protection these days...

 

Get Cyclops if you want. It comes with Mammoth, which is good for defending your base or camping. And the Shaft protection will be hella useful now.

I feel they should buff compact tanks in higher tiers. It just does not so enough damage. Maybe increase it to 200%?

It got nerfed from +200% to +100%, because it was too OP

Not sure if he's talking about direct damage or not. Anyway, if he's talking about heating rate, there is no need to buff that. YOu already reach to maximum temperature in less than a second of being hit. Why should I suffer 4 afterburn ticks for receiving only one tick of direct damage?

I guess, you've never been on the receiving side. I don't even play many of the pro-battle maps just because of this stupid alt. The only thing it needs is a nerf.

I as playing in island with my firebird and I encountered a guy with 35% protection at my rank lol. I remember I had firebird m3 and ct. My afternurn barely affected him! He burned for like 3 seconds? It was like trying to ignite a wet piece of wood. And yes I have been on the receiving side. All I did was run away and repair.

I remember playing the firebird alt with 300% heating. It was ok but I remember I could not burn targets effectively with 40-50% protection. What I mean is that the compact tanks alt should be buffed in about when people reach the rank marshal. All the legends I see only use incendiary mix for their firebirds because the afterburn in ct simply isn’t enough to combat maxed protection modules most people have (even at general)

Try doing it with Stock Firebird then. 

 

I see many more CT users than IM users. And I barely see Stock Firebirds anymore up there. Whenever I get hit by a Stock Firebird for 2 seconds before killing it, I think, "Oh no, I'm gonna suffer so much afterburn ticks", then look at my HP bar and see I only suffered 4-5 afterburn ticks. Meanwhile, a CT Firebird hits me for 1 second and I'm getting a crispy 8-10 afterburn ticks. 

 

CT already has enough ammo to take down a medium hull. And a very fast reload to boot. If you die after firing at them for one second, then it's a confirmed kill if they have no protection, repair kits or no Isidas around. This thing can slowly dismantle groups' defenses. Just spray into a group and they'll be forced to use repair kits if they wanna survive, which puts the Firebird's team at an advantage since they have their RKs and the other team doesn't now. 
 

And then there's the issue of timing when to use your RK to get the most HP under stressful circumstances. Time it wrong, and you only get back 1,150. Receive any damage during the activation and the cooling process stops immediately and you will still be burning. It does irritate me when a CT Firebird shoots me for one second then runs away, and I'm just left to die. One second of shooting and it's over for me, barring the Firebird's 7 other teammates' involvement 
 

It was too powerful, and needed a nerf, and it got one. I don't know man. Why are people asking what's the best alteration for Firebird and people are saying CT. It's clearly being used so much for a reason, because it works...it just works. Stock Firebird works as well, because it has a higher damage output, but I don't see much of those anymore.

This explains everything. 

And many of the pro-battles are spammed by either CFT Firebirds or Magnums where you can't really use waste a Repair kit.

Than play on large maps instead of smaller ones like island or polygon. Magnums splash got nerfed a lot and only a direct hit would wreck you. And you should invest in better firebird protection it helps a lot.

I thought about getting Fox on 50% sales. But after some discussion with friends and viewing the results, I realized that anything below 35% is nearly useless against CFT (which was my only reason to consider Fox)

Fox is worth it. M2 is good and it is easy to upgrade. I have 28 protection and I don’t take that much damage from a fire. Below 35% it is still good. I’ve tried it i a few 20% tanks and they shrugged off the afterburn much less the damage itself. Protection reduces afterburn and damage so it is crucial to get.

Compact Fuel Tanks is such a weird alt. I barely grazed someone with my flame for a single tick of direct damage. They got 3 or 4 ticks of burn damage.

Any more opinions? I have 100k now.  Will save for Grizzly M2 and max that along with Falcon M2.

 

Edit: I won’t be buying Cyclops anymore, I will go straight for shaft m2 on a 50% sale.  I don’t have the crystals for Cyclops right now anyways, 170k for shaft m2 and Eagle M2 isn’t as good as 51.8k for shaft m2. Will get dictator, hornet, and falcon to m3 in the meantime.
