It's a medium hull; average speed and average armor.

It works with every weapon, I believe medium to long range weapons are the best choice though.

 

Thunder, and Ricochet work best for me on Viking; after that Railgun and Smoky.

Short range weapons like Isida, Freeze, Firebird (maybe Smoky and twins) are not a great combination to use for attacking.

Fitting Those short range weapons on Viking, and you're mostly limited to Defending in the bigger maps... because of the speed.

 

If you're defending with Viking, you're not using it to it's full potential, neither when grabbing flags.

The midfield; backing up the attacking guys, or defenders... that's your job with a Viking.

 

Thunder has excellent range now; I back up the defending team mates with this combination.

Although I get great results aswell when I stay behind the attacking team mates, and deal damage from a safe distance.

 

I use Thunder the most on Viking; the excellent reload and great damage makes it an allrounder like Viking.

What are some recommended weapons for viking?

Because Viking is one of the most versatile hulls on the game, you can pretty much use any weapon on it. Despite this, you must use the correct weapon according to the correct map. For example, railgun and viking is great say in a Kungur but not so great in a farm DM. You can use short range weapons on viking, I see it a lot and it seems to work. I would use viking in a DM polygon with Thunder M3, that's just my personal choice. You need to work out which mode (CTF, DM, TDM) you play in most and work out whether you play in big, medium or small maps. Once you do this, find out whether you like attacking or defending and choose a weapon which seems to fit "your style." If you really want a recommendation, I would say Thunder, Railgun, (Ricochet [ONLY M3]) If you answered the advice on what to ask yourself, I could give a recommendation that is personal to you. I have taiga as I have heavy m3 kit. It's really good and protects many common weapons. I recommend it but if you want twins protection, go for rock.

Probably not wasp as it just gets killed too much. I need to know what modification you have of the guns. From what I know, I would probably get firebird OR save up for heavy M3. Wasp dies too much, shaft is boring.   ;)

Ricochet M2, because right now it's Overpowered. But I warn you - maybe the Developers will balance it to make it again not-overpowered. If Ricochet wasn't Overpowered I'd suggest Smoky M2.

fire m2 is very good! u might wanna get it when u rank. ofc its m2 is relatively far, but its totally worth it :) get thunder m1! its amazing at wo4. both freeze and izzy m2 is weak unless u like to heal with izzy or defend with freeze. otherwise, fire m2 is a better choice ;)

^ Thunder/Wasp is my main combo, and I love it! First of all, the peekaboo tactic is simply the best on Wasp.  Also, with Wasp, you are more agile and have more speed to get out of the splash range of enemies.  And of course, it's always nice to be unique ;)

 

Get Wasp. It also costs 10k less :D
