Another month has passed, and with it comes the results of our latest project. We thank those who took the time and trouble to participate, but we would like to see more entries next time 'round. Now, without further ado, the results! 

 

First place: @I3.R.0

A Guide to Effectively Communicating in Battles

 

EN eSports has seen a lot of progress these days. If you're a part of a clan which participates in tournaments, then you wouldn't have time to breathe since another tournament is ready for you, once you end one. So, the practice and training is non stop and never ending. The tournaments are organized in such a way that you don't need "only" drugs to win a battle. If you are playing battle with Drops, then you need to 'control' them. If you are having Supplies ON in a battle, obviously pressing 2,3 and 4 at once will not give you a victory so simply, because the person in front of you is also doing the same. Then what special do you do, for winning a game? The Answer is, you prepare a Strategy.

 

You might wonder what strategy actually means in Tanki. Well, it can be anything, be it your unique playing style, or some unique tactic or whatever. Strategies are plans which can be made by one person, preferably by the clan leader. But the execution of these strategies is only possible through Effective Communication. A further question arises now, how do you communicate?

 

The primary option is obviously the battle chat, which turns out to be useless in a 12 min battle, because not everyone has a typing speed of 40 WPM. So, it's necessary to have some tool through which you can voice chat with your clan mates. Options are many, the most famous out of them are Skype, TeamSpeak 3 and Discord. Now how effectively you use them is the key. 

 

Firstly, recommend an app to your clan which does not reduce much FPS. After you've decided the method of communication, it's time to know how you use it. Get your teammates connected to the voice chat at least half an hour before the scheduled time of the game, so that it's easy for you to set things up. Try refreshing your internet before you join the match, this will decrease the chances of you getting lagged out.

 

Before the match starts, the leader should assign roles to all their teammates depending on what equipment they have, or depending on their playing style. Further during the match, all teammates can tell each other about different situations such as - '2 people with DD coming from right' or 'Camping in the enemy base. Someone come to take flag I'm covering you' or anything. The key to winning the game is keeping everybody alert about the situations of the battle, so that they can react accordingly. Lastly, avoid blaming people for missing the shots, or flipping down, etc. It decreases the moral of the player which might ultimately affect the result. Use the Voice Communication to good effect.

The Secret of Moon Silence

 

Ever since the first track set foot on moon silence, belonging to Sir Nicolas Hart, the land has been colonized to suit the needs of the people. They never set foot out of their own boundaries. But four years after its discovery, one man going by the name of Samuel Thompson decided it was time to face his (and many others') fears and map the whole planet. He was the son of Nicolas, who had grown older and less fit after all his time in low gravity. He was accompanied by three of his friends, Sean Joule, Mark Fishburne and Leo Hernandez. He was also accompanied by a small number of men lead by Captain Pixis, a close friend of Nicolas. Mind you, the whole operation was illegal and they could be charged with a few years behind bars.

 

Their journey began using a secret route through a natural tunnel which most were unaware of. Going through they discovered precious blood-red crystals waiting to be harvested. They were unusually abundant here. Going through they discovered the rest of the planet was much warmer and offered better saturation. Venturing farther into the void they discovered a most unusual object - herbs. These included mostly Chives and Basil. Small insects living in the sea of green were noticed soon thereafter. Samuel attempted to come in contact with one, however they all fled as soon as he got close. They went farther, and farther, and farther, before finding something odd. They found metal jutting out of moon dust like acne on a forehead.

 

They discovered a space ship wreck. It was huge, at least twice the size of the colony. Pixis and his men entered first, clearing the immediate area. The rest entered through what was either the opening or a large hole in the hull. inside they heard footsteps and screeches of metal. Sneaking through what seemed to be an observatory path elevated above the floor, they discovered something amazing, hundreds of humanoid 7 feet tall beings who coexisted together inside the ship. Some were planting plants. Some were making items to sell to others who wandered by. It was a society kept hidden for all those past years. Sean speculated that they were the ones that made the crystals, and they must be friendly. Mark, being the reckless man he is, stood up to greet the beings.

 

They all looked up at him. They stood absolutely still before making a terrifying screeching sound which nearly deafened Samuel. The next thing they knew one of them jumped impossibly high onto the platform the men were situated on. With inhuman strength it grabbed Mark and made eye contact before ripping him to shreds and dousing his friends in his blood. They screamed in horror which was in sync to the screeches of the beings. Pixis rushed the three friends out while the other men opened fire. They killed the one that got Mark, but they were outnumbered one to ten. Soon the survivors were at the opening with the screams of pain behind them. Pixis brandished his Desert Eagle and told the others to go back to the colony.

 

The last thing Samuel saw before turning back and running was Pixis being surrounded by seven of the beings as he opened fire. Nonetheless the men left Moon Silence due to security issues. Samuel, Sean and Leo were bailed out by Nicolas who mined the X-crystals that were discovered in the tunnel. The society residing in the spaceship was left at peace. All the soldiers and miners then made their way towards Mars, the last hope for X-crystals, as the three friends continued to live life to the fullest.
