My Punishment

I've been rooted to this spot, not able to move, walk, or talk.

I've been watching. Waiting. I've seen battles explode, tanks annihilated, hopes shattered right in front of me.

My eternal punishment was to watch forever, to envy others, I don't understand why I was punished. What did I do wrong? What did I do to deserve this?

I've been watching. Waiting. I've seen young tankers turn into seasoned veterans. M0 turn into M4.

I've felt bitter jealously, uncontrollable anger, but there has always been a side of peace in me, even in my darkest hours.

I've been watching. Waiting. I've seen chaos erupt from tiny conflicts. I've been through countless battles, each team hungry for domination.

But through the fog that plaques the red sky, and through the struggling cries of dying tankers, I feel my eons of watching, waiting coming to an end.

Approved.

I quite like this poem, and the theme behind it as well, hence the approval despite the shorter length. Nice work!

This poem is nice, however, did you know the actual reason behind this "statue" - or "monument/tribute" ? It's a tribute to the first stages of Tanki Online where Titan-Firebird was considered the most usless combination ever.

Oh well I used titan and fire in 2011-2012 before the rebalance so much lol, it wasn't that useless but seems like fire was the weakest turret and titan was the slowest hull.

Oh my gosh. Just realized something.

Firebird / Titan, also known as Fire / Titan.

Who is the Titan related to fire? Prometheus.

Prometheus, chained to a rock so he cannot move, as he is forced to just watch and be eaten by vultures.

In all seriousness, I really liked this poem between the overall artistic presentation, the choice of word pairing, and the repetition. Great job!

Didn't Heracles did something to help him or something?
