Auto Pilot

I have a good concept about having a feature that will enable players to take a break when away from the keyboard.

 

When players pause the game, there is a countdown of 2 minutes. That is not long enough for taking a break. When players decide to go to have a drink, eat something, by having an auto pilot mode that enables your tank to drive and shoot on the current map you are on will benefit for taking breaks.

 

Players that creates very long battles, that are many hours long, or sometimes 999 minutes long for custom made battles, those players cannot take breaks at all. Account sharing is forbidden by the in-game rules, so players cannot let another person take control of your tank. To solve this problem, I have come up with a solution which is having a feature in Tanki Online which is called "auto pilot". When players enable auto pilot, the player's tank can drive and shoot at enemies just like when you control the keyboard. The auto pilot feature uses artificial intelligence that can mimic a human controlling the tank by driving on the map shooting at the enemies. The auto pilot is capable of pressing the Z and X keys to turn the turrets left and right, (up and down) for Magnum. The auto pilot can also shoot at enemies by pressing the spacebar and press shift to activate the overdrive when charged to 100%.

 

When the player comes back from his dinner break, he can turn off the auto pilot and continue to control his tank for the rest of the remaining time as normal. Note that in auto pilot mode everything will behave as normal.

 

I believe that an auto pilot mode is needed and is necessary for player taking long battles and needs to take breaks when having dinner, so that the players don't get kicked out (disqualified) from the battle and lose all of their battle progress, including crystals.

 

If the battle ends when the auto pilot mode stays on, the battle will end normally, the player will receive his crystals and the auto pilot will turn itself off automatically. There is no time limit for having the auto pilot mode on. The only limit that automatically turns off auto pilot, is when the battle has ended.

 

I do not thing that the auto pilot mode will cause any abuse of the system, because it does not contribute to earning crystals or cheating the game. It is only just a feature to help players take a break without quitting battles and losing progress.

For example, in an emergency, pilots in an airplane can turn on auto pilot so that when the pilots have a stroke, or need to have dinner, walk, check for security or any other purposes, the auto pilot can continue to fly the plane safely during the emergency.

Interesting idea, but developers clearly stated that they want Tanki Online to be 100% PvP (player vs player) gameplay, with no AI elements to be mixed in. They don't want the match victory to depend on the quality of some computer algorithm, so it's highly unlikely that there will ever be any AI-controlled tanks in the game.

 

The best thing to do is not join long battles and always manage your time so that if you do play a long battle, you can be 100% sure that you won't have to leave for longer than 2 minutes at a time during that battle. It's even better to just avoid long battles altogether, since there's way too much risk involved (like losing your internet connection 5 minutes before the end).

Advertise a pvp game? Lol no one plays this game

Tanki are currently "revising" their game to be more relevant to the next generation. This is what Overdrives, MMS, Supply nerfs and other things are heading towards.

Thanks for congratulating me! Supply nerfs? Cooldowns are like 10 seconds.

Um, yeah. Some insane coding there - coding that flash isn't capable of.

Nah, I'm pretty sure devs can make tanks drive along a certain path and automatically aim and shoot at enemies. Coding isn't the issue, but the concept itself is.

Hahaha Nice Idea,

Because Nobody would play this Game after the implementation of

1. New overdrives
2. Match Making System.

Because tanki Introduced overdrives as a result of reducing supplies timings and now they are again removing over use of supplies by separating overdrives for different tanks, which means that you have to change your favorite tank for your favorite overdrive, HELL NO.

This game is only better untill you become a Master Sargent. because nobody hardly drug there.


Tanki, Don't you see that you are losing your online players so fast by implementing these noob updates ?????
