Parkour Club Support

Hello parkourists!

Parkour is expensive, it takes lots of supplies to complete a decent trick. The biggest spenders are the parkour clubs who dedicate a lot of time and effort to create cool parkour videos. For their great job in entertaining the community they deserve some support. The support consists of supplies for all club members (up to 1500 of each Parkour Club Support supply per approved video), and spectator accounts (up to 2 Parkour Club Spectator accounts).

To earn support for your club, you need to actively produce high quality parkour videos with good tricks, recording and editing. The first form of support a club receives is supplies. Spectator accounts are given only to clubs that prove a lot more skill, dedication and long lasting activity.

Leaders of supported parkour clubs also get invited to a special Parkour Club Support Discord server.

Tips for making better parkour videos

• Watch some videos of successful parkour clubs for example.
• Don't make the video too short, include several tricks in one video.
• In case of montages and guides, use a variety of different tricks, don't just repeat the same trick everywhere.
• In case of tutorials about a single trick, show different variations of the trick and ways to use it.
• If you can't get a spectator, try renting a spectator. However, recording using spectators isn't obligatory but it would make the video look much better.
• Make sure the videos are cut and cropped well, and visual effects are used properly and not excessively.

Why does rank or garage matter?, what matter is that your skills, your activity and creative works. So, ofc anyone can be part of this as long as they are constantly making nice and good videos.

What is a good video? Is there an exact boundary that divides 'creative' from 'not creative' ? Can we objectively decide if a video is good or bad?

Yes, a creative video is one that contains new tricks that were never used in parkour before, or at least ones that are rarely used, or special variations and combinations of tricks, though there's a very very big difference between using rare tricks and coming up with your own new tricks. Other than creativity, the greatness of videos is mostly measured by subjective factors because, after all, the videos are there for people to enjoy and not just to cross some clearly defined border of requirements. For example, you can't measure the showiness of tricks in a non subjective way.
