It is with great sadness that we have had to close Tanki Online

I do not have access to any statistics of what the status of the game is and if it can still be continued to be supported but based on what i've seen in previous companies, it can be difficult to try and maintain a separate version of a game that runs on an older framework. I hope the game can be continued to be supported in the near future, although im not sure how serious the devs are to keep it running, this game runs on a game engine that is quite old, tanki x runs on an engine that has more updated modern technology that would allow more features/components to be added to allow better updates/maintainability in the near future. PC's are set to double in computing power in the next 10+ years and older machines; that will be those that most likely run core i3 will be prompted to upgrade to i5 or i7. Inevitably anyone still on these systems will no longer be able to run certain games efficiently, it may not necessarily be tanki online, but i see this game too big of a risk to invest in anymore anyways.

It’s hard to take in, But it’s so ture. Tanki has been rapidly losing players... I remember logging on in 2015 and seeing over 150k people online, now I’m lucky to see 15k on :( It’s ture that all games eventually die. Just like Tanki will die eventually. My life long goal on tanki is to get to legend. I hope I complete my goal before Tanki dies :(

 

Life comes and go's, pets come and go, the earth came, and will go. And of corse, Games come and go.

So that means Tanki came. And will go.

 

To the game designers.. Please when you close Tanki, on the last day please give us unlimited gold supply’s :)

Ok, so ever since the repair kit update which no one liked I have been keeping an eye on Tanki's numbers. Slowly they have actually been increasing despite what everyone is saying. 

 

Before the update the total players was easily below 35k everyday including weekends! Now it is around 40k+ for most days of the week.

 

Please note this is for ALL communities, not just EN/RU/DE.

 

Now I know this isn't the best proof, because I mean this is the best us players can get. :lol: But the numbers don't lie, Tanki is obviously doing something right for the numbers to increase. It might only be slowly, but its a start. ;) Lets hope it continues.

 

For those that are interested the total players did reach over 55k during Halloween. So we have the people, we just need to keep them interested.

Also where do people get this "There used to be over 150k people online at once" the most that has EVER been on at once is 138 006. That was during x5 funds which lasted 24 hours. The normal average (2013 - 2015) was like 95k daily... But seriously, where do people get that from?

i only heard about tanki 2.0 a while after i started playing tanki online im so uppset its gone now its probably somewhere out there still but would be very hard to find :( and ive not heard that tanki is going to ! please no! i hoe tanki x doesnt go itl be the last tanki until they release or re release another tanki. i only found tanki x when i was searching for tanki 2.0 , there are tons of images of tanki 2.0 :huh:  but not much info.

Tanki 2.0 was nothing special and Tanki X was better in every regard. 2.0 was never even close to being finished, it was just a demo.

 

Also you should listen less to what random people say, Tanki Online is not being shut down. Did any of the developers, administrators, moderators, community managers, or owners of the company say TO was being shut down? No, they didn't. Why are you listening to some random "John Smith" guy?
