The stadium maps need some adaptation, the playable pitch needs to be enclosed so the ball do not get out and player do not get killed by the mines. A cuboid glass box, so sub can see through, with small entrance on the side for subs and the goal cage.
The size of the pitch is fine. Maybe have a different sky box but stay in space mode.
The ball need to be a ball obviously. If a ball, it will be probably bigger than the height of the hull, so maybe the goal cage needs to be bigger (height and width), also to prevent the whole team to black the goal completely. 
Having a special format (like xp/bp) so only Viking and hammer can play.
2 teams but with no kill possible (only self if upside down) and have the paint added by default to every players - if red team they get red paint if bleu team get the bleu paint. Or have a choice of the world cup finalist paint country available.
A count down and re-spawn of five player after a goal or starting of the new game on their respective side.

 

Maybe put some speed boost :ph34r:, not dropped but the sprouting one.
