So you really want us to allow teams to complete the challenge ridiculously easily while other great teams place actual effort into the trick?

I realise that we should have spotted the loophole before but we are human, we make mistakes and so we correct them as fairly as possible.

I love how a couple of "event hellpers" decided what is fair and what is unfair.

 

You are free to send a PM to me or any member of the team and the community manager to discuss this further. I feel this has become unnecessary back and forth and is just cluttering the topic.

There is a report of a US war crime in Iraq. 6 checkpoint guards. The crime inverstigators initially successfully defended that squad, because they had all the authority to neglect any further inquiry. The case was later dealt with due to international pressure whatsoever. 

In Tanki, our little pressure can't win against this helper horde, this is why darrrex and others are not gonna publish their information, as eventually they would be the ones, who get punished.

What would the perfect solution be then?

U should just have let the challange be like it was without changing rules and try to not leave any loop holes in the next challange, even tho some ppl that didnt deserv to win this challange would prob fall out in the next one anyways

Here is an opposite opinion: 

 

Nope, I think you should not allow the entries to be passed. Make them do the challenge again.. as simple as that.

May I remind you that this is a parkour contest? Its not that deep. Without the so called 'helper hoard' and some great players there would be no contest and no established parkour community. Take your pick.  :rolleyes:

We aren't really bothered if a team shares ideas voluntarily. The problem is when one spectator records for a team then sends the idea to another team who will use it without permission.

Well then it's the team's responsibility to choose a suitable Spectator to record for them who they can trust. Getting a Spectator to record for you itself is permission for the Spectator to know what the team's trick is.

If you make a mistake, it's your fault, wait for the next challenge and make sure you don't flop on that one too.

It's too late now to change it back. Participants will just have to do the updated challenge now and probably the teams who had successfully taken advantage of the loophole have already redone their entry considering they were fast enough to do it whilst the loophole was still active. Next time don't punish the participants for the mistakes of the staff.

We don't have enough entries to warrant 'several' judges. During the first challenge 90% of the entries were processed by me and Swift. With the next challenges having less survivors one or two people is enough

Also as far as parkour community goes...helpers acting like they running the game but in fact they help with contests and enforcing the rules...Parkour community would exist with or with out the helpers involvement or contests

That's just an excuse..Despite the fact you're human, such mistakes are not accepted by "more than a couple of guys" who're well establishes and reputed mods..If the so called 'loopholes' occur again, don't punish people who're participating.. It's completely a fault of "Staff" and the Rules aren't intended to be changed once challenged is announced...and causes problems for other teams who already did the challenge. I know a team who did it 3 times just because of the constant change in rules.

If I was organizer, I would probably not change the rules but explain players how the trick is specificly expected to be done. Obviously players found a loophole and thought of idea to use it for their own advantage to pass the challenge but they knew it is kind of cheating and may not succeed. As it is a parkour contest, you surely have to climb up on certain object, not to jump down on it and get quite decent prizes.

 

Even if someone passed before the update, this is merely 2/5 challenge and to go further you shall be talented parkourist. Not a big deal, don't blow a bubble guys. Enjoy the contest.

Each challenge decides on whether a team / which teams will advance in the competition, so it's not something some people will take lightly even if it is only the second challenge as everyone's end goal is the paint and/or personal glory.

I think more people trust it will be now, after what's happened, but it's about what's already happened. Anyways, a side argument that has been going on too in the background... what's with the recorder needing to expose his complete user interface despite not being physically apart of the trick? The only argument provided by the staff is that they don't want teams' tricks being spread to other teams without their consent by the recorder. Am I the only one who doesn't get some completely random and untrustworthy player to record my team's entries??? I'm sure no-one does that. Besides, the teams are basically giving the recorder permission to know what their trick is and are solely responsible for the secrecy of it.

How different should it be? Players using different equipment? Different place? Different setup? How much different?

Basically, if you replace a magnum, for example for thunder, it's not the same, but on the other hand it's not, so I'd like to know what is expected to be different. Thanks in advance.

That's a nice idea, although a lot of people only join contest that are well advertised by tanki, otherwise they just don't get noticed, I tried doing such contests in the past and not a lot of people participated :/

 

Maybe I'll try again once, when there is no other parkour contest running, we'll see :)

@Ninja why our posts are being removed? We need a public answer! Since your "business' is now revealed to people, you guys are taking advantage of being a mod and hiding posts! I will contact higher authorities regarding this along with few other people who are now tired of your concentration of power among TFP members and their friends! We want fair challenges, fair organizers who know how to properly organize contests. @SwiftSmoky was a way better organizer in the maiden season of Parkour Survival. We need him back and not to forget, I still have evidences against a few mods.
