Freeze buff

Yeah, I get you, 1 v 1 with a full health firebird = inevitable death. But still, it's not that great in the current meta of twins and magnum and long range stuff.

 

You don't stand a chance when you get in our range. We don't stand a chance if you guys aren't in our range. Plus, not giving us EXP in an absurdly long grind to legend rank? That's just mean.

no , i support your idea that freeze needs a buff , just not the way you mentioned

and when you said that you despise us I couldn't understand why you do , even when I didn't have thunder I didn't hate its users .

Fine, although I think Thunder is absolutely OP. Thunder can safely snipe freeze from medium distance for max-damage + no health loss.

They both have the same amount of modules. A thunder user would see more thunder modules and a freeze user would obviously see more freeze modules. But that's not a valid reason not to buff freeze. 

I get your point, but Freeze sees less utility than Thunder, only due to the extreme hype for Thunder. Due to this, less people actually bother using Freeze protection.

 

I kid you not when I say this, but I've played legends with double armour and 50% Thunder protection, and I did around 151 damage or so. Still think that Freeze is the most up?

I've played marshals with 50% freeze protection and I do 89 damage.

Freeze isn't the weakest, that'd be Thunder. Every other guy's running a protection against Thunder.

Doesn't that make Thunder the strongest turret? :P

I mean, if Thunder was so weak why would so many players get protection against it :/ I'm impatiently waiting for next sale to get it!

I am a noob Field Marshal and I seek advice because I am clueless

the only maps I can play in are Island and Polygon CP (the old one)

Hazel did say he thought Freeze and Firebird were underpowered about a year ago. Firebird was buffed in that time. Freeze however, remained untouched. So I think we can expect a Freeze buff at some point after HTML5 is finished.

I don't know about everyone else, but I use thunder protection to protect myself against self damage

Which was why I disagreed with MAF about the reasoning of Thunder being "UP" because of the # of protections out there against it.

 

Many bought that module to protect themselves...

 

I really think you have to consider the turret vs other turrets only - as if in a Pro-Battle match everything turned off.

thunder without a protection is strong as hell

thunder with protection is the weakest turret in the game

Why do protections make Thunder weaker than protections versus say... Ricco?

 

Both reduce damage the same way.

because protection against other turrets is not as common as protection against thunder 

EVERYONE has a protection for thunder , unlike rico or any other turret

Exactly. I must spend an extra 5k a month for a PRO battle pass on already the most expensive turret in the game because the only maps I can play in are Island and Polygon CP (the old one), which are only PRO. Freeze gets its attack AND its unique ability removed from a module.

You just need to use freeze for defending. You got other M3's dude. Use it. 

You can't take flag in mammoth hull in large maps. attack players from behind and do the snake thing. Just skills and Bob marley's drugs is enough. 

I support you to increase its reload speed not for infinity.

Just keep a freaking turret for safety,

I use thunder in pro battles. 

I use Hammer in non-pros'

The overall damage of Freeze does not really need to be buffed. What has to be buffed up with Freeze is the freezing effect. Adding 10% - 20% of freezing effect will make Freeze more suitable at properly cause tanks to quickly slow down and freeze before exploding. The freezing effect of Freeze is suppose to stop players from running away and take damage.

 

I have a good nickname for Freeze called Flemish and its catchphrase:

 

You cannot run away from Flemish's grip! This means that enemies cannot outrun the freezing effect of Freeze.

Freeze has been buffed and later nerfed. Whether or not it's currently balanced is arguable, but it's definitely no longer underpowered.

Freeze is now PERFECT do not change it anymore. Focus on Magnum, Thunder, Smoky, Shaft and Rail.

I agree that they need to focus on nerfing Magnum, Thunder, and Shaft; however, Freeze isn't perfect right now (in my eyes, at least).

 

I believe that Freezing needs to kick in earlier for freeze but the freezing should melt much quicker for freeze because right now, the freezing is most noticeable after the Freeze dies and you take like 15 seconds to start accelerating up to normal speed.

Shaft ruins gameplay...players who camp build a good k/d but actively hurt their team which is now playing a man down

Smoky just got buffed and is really good because no one uses protection against it.

Rail can 1 shot medium hulls with DD...if people would stop playing rail in regular battles, rail protection would go away

Shaft arcade shots are useless so when Shaft is attacked, RIP Shaft. Thunder and Rail are now actually better in camping.

 

Smoky seems to get a very slight buff. I looked at wiki page at the moment and I still see old stats. Smoky will not be buffed until it gets 25% weak damage.

 

Rail needs 20% weak damage buff to make it more consistent. It has long reload so the player must be sure that he/she kills the enemy before he/she gets destroyed. Rail is slightly better in camping than Thunder but Thunder easily wins at short and medium range.

Not true... not true at all, about 25% of my kills are from arcades. Then again I have it two levels higher than normal, so maybe that's why, IDK

I used to finish enemies across the map with arcades but that is just no longer possible due to arcade shot nerf (was at the same time when Thunder reload was buffed which turned it into OP turret).

That was friggn broken. That's why they fixed it. Thunder isn't OP at all imo

Thunder can still kill enemies across the map with ease. It is like 'noob Rail'. Player needs just little bit of accuracy and Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Kill!
