Declined Option to report private messages on in-game chat

Not much to say, title explains it. I - and a lot of other tankers - would appreciate a simple button in the in-game chat in the list that appears when a nickname is clicked. Using this button will copy the message from the respective tanker, and put it into a report. A dialog box - similar to the one for gifts - pops up where the reporter can write his complains. The report is then saved for a moderator to review soon.

 

If I sounded a bit too inarticulate, this picture should explain it:

 

 

Pressing that will put the message "ghi" in a report, along with a complaint that the reporter can write. The complaint box can open up like the gift message box opens up. Then the reporter pressed the report button, a moderator reviews the report, and bans le multaman. Or multawoman, whatever, but the latter doesn't sound cool though...

 

Anyway, this option is especially useful when the multaguy in question tells you something obscene in private chat. A nug did that to me just now, and I took a screen, but the chat mod present in the chat at the time simple would not accept the screenshot. Quite naturally, I can't blame the guy for following sane protocols. Whatever.

The chat moderation team moved to a different approach when it comes to chat violations. Nowadays, instead of reporting inappropriate and abusive messages to moderators, players are encouraged to add such violators to the ignore list and never worry about them again.

 

A "report button" might eventually be added for gameplay violations, but not for private chats.

I added about a Billion users to my ignore list but after few months I recheck my ignore-list, it gives me .... (3 dots)

means there is no single person in your ignore list.

The "ignore the player and they won't bother you" whole idea is a bit of a failure. People still spam the main chat, and ignoring them helps little because the amount of spam causes incredible chat lag and message cooldown. There are never enough Chat Moderators online, bless them.

 

I think, rather than a report button, players have an option of tagging a player in chat and giving them a strike (maybe with a daily strike limit). Once a player has recieved enough strikes, the system will automatically give them an hour chat ban and a report will be sent to the Chat Administration for assessment, in case they wish to take matters further.

after that when i block next spammer, it shows 1 person in the list for next few days.

 

Now I don't ignore, because it's useless.
