I'm not impersonating staff either, but would you say it was fitting to warn staff/guest writers to not spam when all of the mentioned (bar one) posted only once? Perhaps if they continued...but only one did so to address everyone may not be fair.

well... those posts were pretty meaningless, don't you think that counts as spam?

Jiminy Christmas...

I put up an empty post as a placeholder so Hexed can try to teach me things about the forum and using the Move power, and now someone is accusing me of spamming?

I've got two words for you.

They aren't happy birthday!

:P

Curse, I should have realised you of all people wouldn't post a random thing without reason... anyways, apologies!

I'm reporting all of them to THE NS, it is her fault after all. And yes, I'm going to do my best to resurrect old paper memes. Remult, anyone?

Now if you said that to me yesterday, I would've been sad, cause it was my barthdiy, but now it isn't, so I'm even more hurt now.

Happy birthday Bry! :D

We need the old memes, the new ones lack standard. I'm sure this feeling is not just my own, but shared by most here. So, what's 'remult,' Sensei?

And happy barthdiy, if you were serious.

It is not what's a Remult, but what IS a Remult. It is not something that is simply explained, but EXPIRIENCED! Also, a very talented writer who a bit, um, inconsistent and was one of the earlier memes when I was just starting out as a writer.

I think I would be a remult under those conditions.

You missed, the point, you aren't a Remult, there is only one Remult. The next closest would be me, as of late. I'm inconsistency defined.

K I kind of understand.. maybe not.

Also, unrelated question, should I break a relatively long story into chapters?  I feel like that isn't the right thing to do, but then it's getting to be a lot longer than I wished.

What does 1111!!!1! Mean?

The person wanted to type a lot of exclamation marks, but was so excited that they could not keep shift held. Obviously nobody is that excited, mixing in some 1s with !s is done intentionally just for the mega-excitement effect.

NECRO!

I dunno if this is the right place to post this, but can we just take a moment to appreciate the old TWG? Of the former members who actually wrote quality stuff that wasn't plagiarised, most have become reporters. That's a pretty remarkable accomplishment considering we were some of the most hated people on the forum at the time lol.

Here's a list of the ones who've made it:

Pdox (Hexed)

marc.jp (Marc)

Destrod

Yis

BTRB (Quantum)

Me

There may be others too; not sure. Just thought that this was kinda cool .

I want it to be known that I was the first to join the TWG and the first to join the paper. I also remember having a ton of fun with that old group, unfortunately, it became a bit too hard to manage everyone, as early management became a bit too lenient on who could and could not join, and we ended up spamming the living daylights out of the Off Topic section. It got so bad that forum mods banned writings in the section and we had to make a creativity topic in order to post stories. The rise and fall of the TWG, in case you didn't know, was a main contributor to the creation of the AWS, as suddenly there were more writers in the forum, some of them talented (halo appears over bry), and others were terrible, aka the sudden spamming of "Ultimate Guides" that I hated, but were popular. Also, almost all of us ended up joining the AWS anyways, like, we were the first people to join the AWS, and, not to tut our own horn, were one of the reasons that the AWS started strong, as we provided talented writers right at the beginning.

Musing on muses...

Are you the type of writer who views this as a job? Do you have a goal to write a certain number of hours per day/week/month, and hold yourself to those hours? Do you find that the words flow whenever you turn the tap?

Or are you the type who has no idea when you'll write next, or what it will be about? Do you find yourself mid-story when all you did was sit down to check your email? Do you look up to realize it's 4AM, and you've been writing nonstop since supper?

So, this isn't really a question, but just an invitation for you to ramble on your own personal writing style and habits.

Yeah, I usually have very little idea what I want to write next, it usually just comes in flashes of inspiration, though that tends to build up as I start planning everything through in my mind, where I want something to go, phrasing, impact, before I even start. Once I actually start, the creativity well dries up and I start rambling in through writing, going on until I find something worth writing about and focusing on that part. Hence, procrastination either plays a huge role in anything that I'm working on, or I crank out a multi-thousand word guide in about 3 days. I also find it very easy to stop and start back up, mostly because I do better when I'm able to read over my stuff at the beginning of each segment to see where I was going, where I went, and where I want to go. Also, I've said this before, but my philosophy on writing isn't how good the first draft is (but seeing that I got a 4 on the AP English Lit test, it must be pretty good), but how good I can edit it, especially with stories and opinion articles, they need more rewrites than telling someone to peek corners with Railgun or be on top of the goldbox pile. I also just have random energy spurts that turn 5 month old threads into a textwall, that no, I'm not going to format.

However, because I have some level of influence in the community, you will read my midnight ramblings :D
