Problems entering the game on WinXP

Tankers!

At the moment Windows XP users who are playing Tanki Online using Client or Standalone Flash Player can’t enter the game.

The problem appeared after we switched the game to a protected HTTPS protocol, and, sadly, Windows XP is a considerably dated operating system, which doesn’t support the protocol in a way required by the client to work.

We’re working on solving this problem, and in the meantime ask all Windows XP users to play the game through other browsers, instead of Internet Explorer. For example, Chrome, Firefox or Opera.

Users of later versions of Windows OS did not encounter the problem, client should work.

We apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused you.

Thank you for your understanding.

same for me.I'm using win 7 and client don't work

Did you try updating Internet Explorer all the way to 11?

Client is using it for the game, so it relies on IE' version.

Internet Explorer 8 is the latest version for Windows XP users. Does the problem still arise for Internet Explorer 8?

I also play Tanki Online on Windows Vista, Windows 7 as well as XP.

I thought it was IE9 that came in preinstalled.   Anyway IE8 doesn't support HTTPS because Microsoft dropped support for it.

(if ur still using Internet Explorer 8 then get IE11, because that is the latest and last version of Internet Explorer.)

Was this related to the two server shutdowns after restart?

Well I noticed about 30 min after the sudden update yesterday, almost all players I encountered (including myself) were all lagging terribly then forced to leave battle after 2 min not on. Also saw people complaining they hadn't been able to do missions etc.

But anyways good luck fixing it ;) as you always do.

Thanks, -eSport

Does the client always use IE even if we have other browsers as default?

This is why is such a great CM. If a handful of people are having a problem with the game, he puts out an official news section to let people know the devs are working on it, even though it's only for a few people.

Thanks Nives ^_^

theres a reason though

win xp is best ram saving system that works with newer apps

xp uses only 90mb of ram while windows 10 uses almost 700 and thats bad for cheap pcs with 2gb of ram
