A good initiative, just one question, will you taken into account the difficulty of commentating alone for 15+ minutes? It is easier to commentate with another commentator as you can develop a conversation, so I am just wondering whether the format of the test is well suited to the objective of the test.

From my experience last year with new commentators, there is more done in background than just application video where you speak alone, they will look deeper and give more opportunities.

From my experience last year with new commentators, there is more done in background than just application video where you speak alone, they will look deeper and give more opportunities. 

So applicants get the chance to show their skills in pair/trio scenarios? If so, then that's brilliant. As I believe good chemistry and conversation making skills are essential in making a broadcast as entertaining as possible which will prove useful for the eSports situation right now. The chemistry of SLTV commentary was what made watching matches so fun, I hope the officials look for these skills in the applicants.  :)

Considering we're looking for English Commentators, I'd say it would be recommended you commentate utilizing the English Language, I'd help us much more, :D

Well, in this case, besides taking into account multiple other factors, we'd/the rest of the broadcasting team, take into account your skills commentating by yourself, and in the case that the administration does choose you as one of the lucky few to became a candidate, that is when you'd start practicing with the fellow candidates and/or current experience commentators. If that makes sense.....
