Topic regarding on Tanks Testing Tools & TO Viewer

Introduction: I will teach and tell you what resources are required to add additional items such as...

  • Paints
  • Templates of Hulls, Turrets, etc...

TTT Definition: Is a free application that you can use for multiple purposes.

  • You Can Change Maps Textures And Create New Map
  • Adding in-game paints or add your own creation.
  • Used for testing when Test Server is closed.
  • Drop supplies from the air.

TO Viewer Definition: is a free application that you can use for multiple purposes.

  • Able to preview a tank or paint that you might not already have or planning to get.
  • No background means no interference.
  • Focuses on the tank specifically.
  • Great to use for art work.

What you need to know before implementing paints & templates

Introduction: I will go over the importance of paints and templates. I will discuss what you need to know before you begin with the implementation phase.

When you want to add a new paint or a template you don't just copy and paste a image the picture into TTT or TO viewer. For you to see a visual difference; you need add code to see a difference.

For instance. Your interested in a paint that you want to equip on a tank but you realize that TO Viewer does not offer that paint your looking for. By adding an image into the TOV folder and a line of code into a XML Document, called "config" you will be able to equip your desire paint that you have a particular interest to. Same principle applies to templates.

The following content below doesn't just apply to paints but also templates.

Templates Definition: Is a full illustration layout. That layout could be how something it put together. Example, Ricochet, Hornet, etc...

Benefit

  • You do not feel restricted with pre-attached paints that comes with TTT or TOV. By adding in more variety; paints, you can equip more recent paints or your own that you might appreciate better.
  • Adding paints can be a long process but it’s worth it at the end. Because if you can add all the oldest to the newest paint then you will have all the paints to work with.
  • This is great for making thumbnails as you can import several tanks; customize them with your prefer preferences.

Negatives:

  • Require patience and extensive amount of time. As you need to import code for every paint you would like to add.
  • When new paints get released by the developers you would need to manually import them yourself.
  • Animated paints that you select will not have any sort of animation; but will just remain still just like any other non-animated paint would.
  • The more paints you add to TTT or TOVthe longer it will take to find the paint your looking for. Further move making this more time consuming as you add more paints, resulting in wasted time.

Solution:

To save time on finding a specific paint; you can remove paints that you know you will never utilize. Meaning it will be easier and less time consuming to find the paint your looking for.

How do I start the implementing phase?

Implementation: It's rather easy to add a paint to TTT or TOVIt only takes one try to remember how to add paints.
