Is it worth it to buy Paints anymore?

I mean, paints these days have no value at all after the protection's update, Basicly the old tankers were lucky that bought the paints they liked in the past because now there is a high chance that their favorite paint can be more expensive.

 

Personally i've started the last year to just upgrade my turrets instead of buying new paints like i did 1 year ago. I think that's the best option these days.

 

Keep in mind that you can get many paints easily and without wasting any Crystal from Containers, Which is vrey good.

At first I thought I didn't care about value anymore after they put Moonwalker in containers. That was a very rare paint for a specific event in 2013 and now it's readily available for everyone via containers. It seems the developers can smack anything in containers. But there's just something about paints that one may call limited edition or one-time offer. I have Valour and I like it not only because of the looks; I know that a small fraction of the player base managed to complete that event only accesible through the mobile version.. and they are still handing out invite codes.

 

It's quite a privilege being able to equip any paint you like when you look at the situation 2 years ago. Everything was bound on protection and people were forced to use just 5-10% of all available paints.

Paints now are just "appearances"

I personally just do like you and upgrade my turrets/hulls/protections ... For paints; i just pray to get good ones in containers xP

Well, getting paints from the containers are very rare. But you can always buy it with crystals to avoid the frustration.

well... before containers paints were completely worthless but now...

owning more paints means you have better chances of getting useful stuff from containers...

so paints are still useless.. but having more of them in your garage means you'll get more from containers

they are useful to collect dust in the garage but not to use

Having a nice Paint is nice, but I'd rather rely on Container luck than pay for any of them.

 

I've been lucky on this account, having won Spark, Graffiti, and Invader (Inferno too, but I don't like it). Have also won Matrix, Play-Doh, and Vanadium on another account (Lumberjack and Liquid Metal too, but don't like those either).

 

I'd like to get Nano, Disco, and Lava eventually.
