How do you consider someone famous in tanki

Apparently, there are plenty of Tankers who have been called famous and either it's because they are Youtubers or eSports Players. But What really makes you think that someone is famous in this game?

 

Maybe

- A big Youtuber?

- Someone who owns an eSport paint?

- Somone who playes the game for more than 6 years?

- Someone who makes the difference because of his high Legend Rank?

- Someone with a Professional Nickname?

- Someone who is talking in the chat a lot?

- Someone who drop Golds?

 

Personally what makes someone famous in my opinion is playing from the past, like from the beggining, Now obviously there are ''famous'' tankers from every category but what really comes to your mind when you see the word famous ?

Helping out in the forum and game is far much better option.

 

But, you shouldn't do it to get 'famous'. It should be done just to help tankers.

- M4's (especially Railgun)

- a good PC

- Having a Youtube channel

- using NCS garbage under videos

- Spam the thumbnails full of emoij's

- Use increased contrast that's totally out of wack (my eyes!)

- Use the template intros in After Effects (pirated)

- Fake the video name with either a question and absolutely type in Capslock

- Beg for subscribers

- Not making creativity but copying style of other YT'bers because that's pro

- Use Railgun

- show off your skill by doing trickshots that totally contribute to the team score

- Ram into people and insult them to boost your ego / aka increase contrast to the considered noob and your almighty skill oh yeah

- sit in Silence Parkour with the fanciest paint you have and don't respond to players because that's not professional.

It has to be this one for me as I don't follow any youtubers, I honestly don't see the point of watching someone taking gold boxes

I also don't communicate much with other players, I use chat only when I need a piece of information :P

but when I see a nickname that I am familiar with, the guy is 'sort of famous' to me

e.g. splitterpoint is the only famous person in this thread as he is the only guy I met in battles years ago

Fame on its own isn't about what you do, it's about recognition. So someone can be considered "famous" is a certain percentage of a population or particular group of people (e.g. tanki players) knows who that person is. And fame isn't an absolute value, i.e. it's not a case of someone being either famous or not famous. It's an amount, so for any given person you can estimate how much fame they have. But as said above by ThirdOnlion, fame is relative, so whether or not to consider someone to be famous is up to you to decide.

I totally agree with splitterpoint, but from my POV that's what I consider:

 

1. He's a good friend of a well-known youtuber.

2. He makes others beg him to respond and/or drop golds.

3. He has many (fake) girl-friends in tanki and ignores his friends cuz why not, girls are important huh?

A moderator (Maf)

 

A person who is constantly chatting and every1 knows and helps lower ranked players a lot (Scorpenstein)

 

Someone who claims that she is a girl and all the guys fall for her (Tanki_Princess)

 

Infamous Special Case where everyone hates them  because of the stuff they put in chat (ScoobyDeww)

 

Person who drops tons of golds (any gold dropper)

The only famous ones I know are family: icu81, OICU812, u812, and me u812ic. My Brother, OICU812 is the only one who plays tanki. At least he used to. Now, he comes in on occasion to fight a battle and rage quits.
