isn't it funny?

looking at their rank up parties or their friends lists or who they are always in battles with... you notice how players who have avatars have friends who also mostly have avatars? Not ALL of their friends, but usuallu most of them have most of their friends like them.. once in a while you see this normal players who's friends with quite a few of them... only to see him start to think he's one of them or even becoming like them after a while. and there's clans who's exclusively (or almost) only for such people

now, I'm not saying they think they're some exclusive VIP club who only them and their friends can get into... I'm not saying they are turning the system into their own family buisiness... I'm just saying, isn't it funny?

Not only do we work very closely together in our own teams, but we also cooperate a lot with helpers from other teams. We have events together, we have group chats we share, etc. etc. Of course a lot of us are friends, so obviously a lot will have helpers in friends lists. It's completely natural and expected, and not in any way funny.

I personally don't add anyone to my list just because they asked me to add them or because they are a helper. I only add people I genuinely recognise and talk to often, whether it's on the forum or in skype/other.

Please don't bring the RU community into this. They are separate and have a completely different set of rules, code of conduct and general attitude.

It wont be so interesting if you saw them tbh.

I find it interesting that there are two sets of rules. When there are two sets of rules, that means there is an exclusion somewhere down the line. I want to know what that is.

Considering most helper groups don't work across communities and don't speak each other's languages; its to be expected. Everyone has their own way of working and finding what is most efficient for them.

Staff members have played this game for years and would have been extremely active in the game and forum to get their position. It’s only natural that they gravitate closer to each other.

bonding during work is unprofessional

Is that to say that when I'm battling with and against Russians, they are playing with a different set of rules than I am? That sets up a whole lot of questions in my mind and it's having a hard time sorting them all out.

Alright, I'll explain this a bit to avoid misunderstanding. The official Game Rules are the same word-for-word, and the Russian version is obviously just in a different language. These rules must be abided by everyone, be it a player, mod or admin.

However, the internal helper rules are made by administrators of each community separately and while there is some communication between them, RU and EN admins make their own independent decisions regarding helper rules. For the most part they're the same or very similar, so you probably won't notice any difference, but the difference is there.

For example, Russian helpers have an internal agreement (I'm not sure if it's official or not) that helpers can't play in opposite teams in the same battle, whereas we don't have that rule. I think it was originally enforced to prevent complaints that mods are helping each other by multing in the enemy team.

I already said too much here and went off-topic, so let's not discuss this further.

Having close clan or doing private battles has nothing to do with the helpers job, it happen outside the "working hour" even if what helpers do is not work but volunteering. Big nuance.

Close relationships between colleagues are essential to make the work more funny and interesting. People need to talk to each other, otherwise they feel alone.

Hard to focus on work when a co-worker keeps talking and telling jokes. And if that's the case, maybe that person should be fired since they are not focusing on doing their job anyway.

if they really have to do it then it should be in complete secrecy. cause it's hard for people to take them seriously if they make the system look like a club where people get together to have fun.

But isn't the whole Forum basically just a really big club? We are all here for the same reason, because we like the same game, to talk, make friends and most importantly to have fun while doing so.

Talking to other colleges and especially players is essential for staff members, it shows the community that we are approachable and willing to help if you have a problem. Ignoring each other only makes the Forum look like a dark unwelcoming place, not somewhere people would want to spend time.

the forum can be a club. the helper system is not.

your avatar, your forum group, your helper paint. what does it stand for?

this is what it should

Helper system is when we do our volunteering work as required and expected (our working hour time are flexible).

When we are not on duty, we do like any other players, we gather together or other players or wander alone. Who knows, only stalkers I guess.

Avatar and paint serve 2 purposes, one is obviously the perks of the position and the second is sign of reconnaissance (like a uniform) so players know who we are (drop gold mods, be my friend, i have a problem can you help...).

Whatever you decided to pick and show to a certain angle is your problem really.  But if this topic digress into Helpers activities and moderation, well... once it happens it will be locked, you know the rules.
