Incredible Mathematic Tactics

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I started this topic cos I want to know if you have some good tactics in maths that would be good for people, I personally have a good maths but not the best, so I might make it better if you share some tactics with me and people!

ok, I start:

It's a well-known tactic by people who are interested in maths.

Multiplying something with 11:

e.g: 12x11

Separate the number you want to multiply by 11

mine is 1 and 2 (12)

After this, collect them (1+2=3)

Add the result of this process in the center of the number.

it's now 132.

12x11 = 132

It has been found out true, right?

I know it's a simple tactic and I want harder ones, I don't really want to spend time by trying to find hard ones since I have very important exams next week. Hope you will post more and harder ones!

It looks great but it works only for 11. Anyway, multiplying small numbers is easy.

57*34=50*30+7*30+50*4+7*4=1500+210+200+28=1938

73*68=70*60+3*60+70*8+3*8=4200+180+560+24=4964

I actually knew this, never found it from somewhere, it's all after my searching :pp

still thx

I this what you are looking for?

In an off beat country, they figure math a different way.

For example: 1/2 of 5 = 3

Using this logic what is 1/3 of 10?

1/2 of 5 doesn't equal 3

1/2 of 5 doesn't equal 3

I know that and we all know that, but this one (fictitious) country does things differently. There is a logical mathematical solution to the problem. Using the given logic of 1/2 of 5 = 3, you are to find 1/3 of 10.

(It's a brain teaser. Are you up to the challenge?)

2+2 does not equal 4.

2+2=22

Didn't any of you learn anything in math class? B) :D

Seems as though I failed spelling class.

It only applies to Phyton :D

What's this have to do with Dungeons & Dragons?

Phyton is a coding language which is used for some simple programs. I didn't mean the one that is animal, I meant the one that is coding language.

Try to get good at doing calculations in your head. It will save a lot of time. Ignore teachers who say it is better to do calculations on paper. Once you get good at it, you won't make mistakes.

Also, try to use calculators for time-consuming calculations.

Try to do calculations in one step (if there are multiple calculations, do them all at once with parentheses etc).

It is python, not phyton. (I wanted to correct this because two people in a row spelled it phyton lol) Edited by Boeing_787

Sorry, I always confuse this :D

x, where x is a rational number.

Q: Find cos 15.

Ans: cos 15 = x. Find x yourself.

I got some free time to examine this and I just saw that it is easy xd.

Maybe it's not, idk.

1/2 of 5 = 2,5 but they take it as 3

so basically if 2,5 was 3

10 would be 12

12 x 1/3 = 4

is it the true answer?

Yes, 4 is the correct answer. Congratulations.
