The CM will do what what the devs tell him to do. If devs see he's not doing his job they fire him.

I doubt anything like that is going on. I assume the thread was intended to do exactly what it has, I'm simply surprised Cedric hasn't joined with any feedback.

It's very hard to take over someone's else's position and get acquainted with everything that happened during the past year in a short period of time - that's a lot of catching up to do, not just by reading this topic. Plus he immediately had to start preparing announcements and events for the community and there were plenty of them in the past weeks, as you all know. I'm not trying to make excuses, I'm simply aware of the amount of work CMs do (since I've been working closely with most of them), and that's why I'm sure he'll post when he can. Just be patient and in the meantime, do contact us admins with any issues/questions/suggestions/feedback you might have, we'll do our best to help.

Cedric, when you asked for our comments on the subject, I assumed you'd reply to at least a few of them. We have vague assurances from others that you have read the comments, but we have no comments from you. You've left us hanging.

In the last 2 weeks he literally posted 2 messages, I don't count the new topics he created.

Excuse me? I quit the game for 2 years and it only took me about 4 days to learn about everything that has happened and changed about the game... You and him do very different stuff. Give him some times especially if everybody liked Nives, then Cedric has some big shoes to fill.

Well, that may be true.

 

But moving to a different argument, the purpose of this topic is not what the title suggests. It's merely a topic for Cedric to gain some quick support from his players and establish his power. Plus, Cedric is literally doing the same job he did a year before... it couldn't have possibly changed that much... can it? 

 

Plus, I'm sure with all the "catching-up" Cedric is currently doing, Cedric definitely has 30 seconds to read someone's post and reply to it.

So I'm finally back from the grave.

 

First of all, my deepest apologies for being a ghost for the past few weeks. I assure you though, I haven't been idle. Quite the contrary — it's been a CRAZY few weeks with all the announcements I had to write, and administration stuff I needed to sort out.

 

Thing is, I needed to get that work done with as little distraction as possible. I had to make sure I stayed on track to get it done ASAP, not just because of the deadlines, but because I wanted to put it behind me and not have to worry about it anymore once I dove back into the community.

 

So with that said, I'm gonna start going through some of the major threads and responding to comments. I can't reply to all of them because @CooperO and her team will probably ban me for flooding lol. But I'll try to answer the top concerns.

Actually, yes, the role has shifted significantly, even from what Nives used to do. For one, given my profession as copywriter, I'm called on to write and vet all marketing and community texts. That alone is quite a handful in itself — almost a full-time job.

 

On top of that, there are many other facets to my job that I'm not at liberty to discuss. But rest assured, being CM (when you take it seriously) is no walk in the park. :-)

World cup paints are not removed from the containers - 2 days ago I received 2-3 world cup paints whilst opening containers.

It would be so cool if we could purchase shot colours in the garage. Even at high prices, I'm sure players would buy them.

 

 

I, personally, mainly bought XT Railgun 'cause of its white beam. And having that removed felt like a kick in the nuts.

 

 

PS: The "XT skins" update got released merely days after I had purchased XT Railgun so you could only imagine my disappointment :mellow:
