Music you listen to while battling

 Share

Recommended Posts

I know a lot of people who listen to music while battling so I started listening to music while battling and I think I play better while listening to it instead of listening to the sounds of TO and I'm officially convinced that I play better listening to some music.

Just curious, for those that listen to music while battling, what do you listen to? Do you listen to it because you like the song or does it help add adrenaline/make you perform better?

For example, I've only listened to Green Day so far, especially Holiday because it makes me want to assemble an army and overthrow the government.

I could use some music suggestions and a nice discussion would be nice, too.

Random Star Wars soundtracks, and some other movie pieces as well. Lyrics break my concentration, but this kind of music helps (Except for sometimes lowering my FPS :X)

EDIT: I almost forgot about Luigigas. He does epic Pokemon remixes like this

Depends. Sometimes I listen from Spotify (my fav songs) and some other times from youtube randomly changing songs one after the other and if I discover a good one, I pause the game, like the video and continue on playing. A good way to discover new songs..;p

I rarely listen to music whilst playing Tanki these days, 'cuz I gotta keep an ear out for enemy engine sounds, supply box activation/deactivation, shot sounds, mines, and overdrive activation. It may not sound much at first, but it adds up.

But when I do, I listen to Japanese/Korean/Chinese high-BPM electronic music. Quite fitting for TO's game play if you ask me.

I actually listened to the Techno Version of the USSR Anthem. But it was taken down due to copyright claims :(,

I have 52 music stations on my TV through my cable provider, separated by genre. I listen according to mood, but most times I have it on very low or not at all. Loud music breaks my concentration:

My favs:

Golden Oldies

Soft/light Jazz

Classical Masterpieces

Soundscapes (music for meditation)

Sounds of the Season (Holiday)

If it's an intense battle, I mute the music or turn it off.

I often have my ITunes playlist playing on my other computer while I play Tanki. But I'm normally too focused on the battle to even really listen to the song.

I find listening to music good if you're waiting to find a battle or for the battle to load. It basically distracts you from the slow counting timer. :P

1. This belongs in off topic

2. There's already a topic about it there.

I'm old fashioned. I like most anything written before 1820. Preferably Joseph Haydn or J.S. Bach. Bach's organ music is quite amazing.
