What positive things do you want to see in Tanki Online?

My Answer: I think in the years of 2019 - 2020, Tanki Online staff/developers will introduce more of these things, and maybe even think about bringing some things back. I don't agree with the fact that ideas to bring back/remove updates is always rejected. It's not logical. If you make a good game update, then switch to another one, why should you not be able to suggest alterations (changes) to that update, or at best, remove it?         

 

@ @KariWolves2....I read, not long ago, that once something is taken out of the game, the code is destroyed. That's why they don't bring back what has been removed.

If this is the case, everyone below 50% should be adjusted -20% as well (i.e 35% protection is now reduced to 28%, 15% protection reduced to 12%, 10% protection reduced to 8%, etc.)

What about this?

 

M0 - 5%

M1 - 10%

M2 - 15%

M3 - 20%

M4 - 25% or 30%

Why bother? If we have those numbers, might as well load up on DA since it does a better job at protecting.

Strong modules are bad for gameplay. They make turrets weak and useless. It is frustrating to play against M3 module.

Please try to understand. Tanki is a business. They make a lot as buyers spend real money to buy crystals and upgrade modules. Example, a sizable chunk of their earning now if from players paying to max out Fox and Wolf module.Protections like 5,10 and 15% are practically useless and no one will bother spending money on them. It's a loss for the company so a nerf to modules is highly unlikely. It's simply a business strategy and they will never do something that affects their revenue in a negative way. I am not arguing for the sake of it but being realistic. Surely, you understand? :)

Is this your only account - or do you have a higher one up in Legend.

 

I'm asking because it seems like you have not encountered m4 turrets + alts + drones.

trust me when I say - you don't last all that long even with 50% modules equipped. without them you would not last 10 seconds in many battles.

 

There are 13 turrets + mines.   3 modules covers you for only a small fraction.  You will face many enemies you are not protected against - and with 8 min battles you will not be visiting garage often to change them out.

At this point, as far as I know, the players are their ONLY revenue. You can still find Tanki on Miniclip but that alone isn't enough. We pay the rent, the utilities, office supplies, and everything else they need to keep running. If costs go up, then so does the money we have to spend to be buyers. They need to advertise and start taking responsibility off our shoulders and on to theirs.

Like many other suggested ideas in here, I'd also love to see an improvement in MM like preparing for the next map. Then I have my doubts because there will be a new queue, players will leave because the map that's being offered isn't in their desire while it is for others, and it goes around just makes one think if the queue will end up being longer than it is now if we're too picky with our maps.


Love to see the Player base grow as well, that'd be an improvement for MM a lot. Since the system tries to find ranks as close together as possible and if it can't it then creates one rank lower and one rank higher while the queue grows and it looks for players, must be a lot of other things they also use to match players into the system but that's the best info about how it exactly works I've got. So that's a must have I'm quite strong of the idea that the game needs to start advertising again, easier said than done though. 


The anti-flood system needs some major re-work on. 
The current map pool in MM is getting a bit dry, some new ones.
Want to see DE, PL, EN etc....Forums updated into the newer version.
More suitable missions for players who don't have so much time on their hands or don't have the best equipment for them, like Finish First In 15 Battles.
A bigger amount of Batteries into missions if we're keeping them as a reward.

Before bringing out more alts maybe just a little perking of the current ones we've got first, Duplet for example players who spawn got nearly no chance..;p

Some more connection between the Developers, programmers besides the weekly V-logs. A few things here might not be at the top of their list right now though.

So, I agree almost everything you said. I will give the reasons why. I have color coded your post and I will use that to describe this! :)

 

Red: Yes, I have suggested this idea before, that a 'pick-up' time of preferably 20 - 30 seconds be introduced. The players in a battle need to see what the map conditions are (eg: night, day, flat map, elevated map, etc...) and other reasons. Whenever you spawn in a map, you automatically are thrown into a battle and have little time to change/ get ready.

Orange:  Definitely :) With the new rollouts for 2019 and 2020 plan, (or suggested in Ideas and Suggestions) the player base should see a noticeable spike in player activity/new players joining the game long-term. I also agree with the advertising statement you said. This game needs more advertising in order to allow players to see what Tanki Online has to offer as they start their Tanki career! It should represent a great image of Tanki, but don't be like North Korea and over-portray yourself as being the best though. Needs to just represent a general image of Tanki (maybe spiced up a little ^_^)

Yellow:  This is an issue that has to do with playback as well. The more amount of players there are, the tighter the ranks are. The fewer players there are, the larger the rank brackets becomes and battles become unfair! :wacko:

Bright Green: Yes. If I may say, the way spammers flood is by adding a "; ." after what they type. It 'tricks' the chat into allowing that message to be sent without the slow-mode activated to prevent it. The chat should also have an automatic feature that bans players from the chats if it detects a large amount of bulk (spam) text. Other things the chat could improve on is automatic bans for profanity... maybe... if this is programmed right, the chat would capture all the profanity used when a chat moderator is not present or able to take action. The way players use "***" (asterisks, not profanity) should also be worked on if possible if there was going to be an automatic profanity ban system. I might suggest it in the I&S

Cyan: This has to be a good one. I once had to get 2,000 XP for 9 batteries. Not hard for me, but for other players, impossible with all of the MM problems that still exist today.

Blue: Definitely getting too dry. Variation is too little. We play the same maps over and over and it gets really boring really quick. Check out my idea on it here: Allow more Variety in MM Maps.

Purple: Yes, a lot of our forums look outdated except the RU Forum. :mellow: We need updates to the en especially. Looks like it was from the 1990s.

Violet:  Yes, a lot of players don't have much time to play per day, and I can speak for them, as I struggle with this issue, having a job & college at the same time, I don't have enough time per day. I also have to balance family time and personal time (leisure activities)

White: Yes, I have always discussed this, but ideas always got rejected. This is a massively important one and way more important than any of these other ideas. There is not much connection to between players and staff (devs). Other games are successful because they have a large space for players to connect with devs and vote for updates, contests, or any of the sort. I don't know why Tanki has never done this, but they need to. This is vey important to the future of the game. Sadly, I don't think it will ever happen. I'll give it a 5% chance of happening. Hey, maybe that's a lucky 5% chance ;)

Well, I think that's an issue the community as a whole can play a part in,

 

To All Players: If ever needed, always remind players if they are violating the game rules. You will help our community grow, and as a side, help the limited number of chat moderators vs players. If you want to do it, but are scared you might impersonate a chat moderator on accident, (because I will admit, it is kind of "risky" doing so and if you do it wrong, you can get banned for it) You can contact a chat moderator/administrator, or even better, just contact me (I've been doing it for a good while now, so I know the tips and tricks) Just announcing to anyone who's interested. Not trying to open a "Kari's Moderation Team" or something. LOL :D

Except for buyers or Legend 20+, most players did not have the funds to manage 2 medium hulls that are similar.  My Viking was probably already m3 by the time they did that update.  It's taken until now for me to be in a comfortable position to buy a second medium hull - making my first one somewhat redundant.

 

Would have done it sooner but I had higher priorities - like upgrading my turrets and acquiring/upgrading protection modules.

 

Viking is different from Hunter, but in many ways not better.  There's a reason I upgraded my previous version of Viking to m3...

you're all very convincing and bring up good points, but unfortunately despite all the numbers players still seem to prefer viking.. hop into any battle and they make up the vast majority of hulls used.

 

even if the turret does not necessarily make sense with the hull, lots of people still mount striker or smoky on viking even though statistically speaking they are better off using hunter...

 

also I would think a substantial hull would most players priority? It was for me anyway. I think players prefer just to use one hull and then fuss more over turrets since thats where the dynamic game play unique to tanki comes in. Viking would be a perfect choice for that type of player.

How else will can one prevent thunder winning every duel with Railgun simply because its OP?.

The best way to beat a Thunder is using Thunder yourself. With Grizzly module.

About the anti-flood system yeppers can agree there. As for the auto-profanity part it's already been suggested here.

 

Both systems have their advantages and disadvantages. Obviously with chat mods there's possibility of human error, but there is also the advantage of having human reasoning and ability to judge the situation as a whole. For example, if players swear in chat because of a bad update that's making it impossible for them to play, a chat mod won't ban them right away since their anger is understandable. But an automated system will instantly ban the player and make their mood even worse.

I do strongly agree with this one a lot, because when it's done by a human it can be judged more accurate than a bot, the idea dose seem awesome at first, but the deeper you go into the case the more complicated it gets, IMO.

 

The Forum feels like home even though it might look like it's from the 1990's :D but it is getting pretty slow and bugged so we could use a new one, pretty sure we've already sent requests of it getting an update though, just gotta wait.

 

About the last part, it's quite a strange case indeed.

I encountered M4 hulls and turrets. I also encountered Duplet Hammer, Dragon Hammer (afterburn), incendiary Vulcan, incendiary Smoky, cryo Smoky, Uranium Striker, Cyclone Striker (8-rocket salvo), corrosion Freeze (+10% damage), Scout Rail (fast reload), 3-shot Shaft, stable Twins, unstable Rico, long range Twins, long range Rico...

I do not care about drones, they are just a useless Pay To Win feature.

 

You are right. Modules are not OP because you can equip only 3 of them (I use Thunder and Smoky modules all the time, I switch between Hammer and Shaft module). Making them even weaker would still be a good idea.

- the removal of the gold box supply (it ruins the game experience)

- fixing (NOT removing) the MM system (the concept on how should it work is great, but players in TO hate it because developers didn't code the system to work properly)

- fixing the anti-flood system (lots of "drop gold pls", "hay ka" etc. in the chat)

- fixing the Parkour mode (I created a topic on how to improve this mode, but nothing was done)

- usage of supplies only in PRO battles (if you are not a buyer, then in many battles you are doomed).

- removal of drones

Yes! Romove those pesky drone!!!

 

Remove gold box supplies? How come that ruin expericences?

 

Anti-flooding need to fixed. 

 

Yeah... no drug would be even better in MM.

Awww. Please don't remove Gold Boxes. If you're foolish enough to go for the Gold Box, then you're foolish enough to let me fill you with lead from my Vulcan Incendiary Band. 

 

Me: Drop gold box

You: Go after gold box

Me: Kill you and all your kin in the pile up. 

 

Yes, I wouldn't mind no supply battles in MM. When I play Pro, that's what I look for.
