What do I do at this point?

Hello tankers,

So as you can see from my profile, I do not have very good turrets or hulls, and I only have just over 2k crystals right now. What do you think I should do at this stage?

If you only login for missions, you will be good. Make sure use your supplies wisely! e.g. use Repair Kit when you are safe and in critical HP.

Save up weekly containers until next rank. Repeat this when reaching to new rank till Legend.

Challenge is for tankers who wanted to be rewarded more when staying online longer. So.... once missions are done, call it for the day.

You're spreading yourself out too thinly. At your rank, you don't need 5 turrets and 5 hulls. Pick out a favorite combo and concentrate more on MUing those. Then pick out a secondary combo. I assume you're a non-buyer. If that's the case, then you definitely need to do missions, if you aren't already. Missions and Challenges are a good source for supplies and crystals.

You have Wasp and Hornet. You don't need both. Pick out one or the other. Then pick out either Viking or Titan. Use Mammoth only if you plan on being a camper.

Shaft and Railgun are long range turrets, Striker and Smoky are medium range, Firebird is close range. Decide which you prefer...close, medium or long range.

Some players are happy with one combo. You have to decide if you can be comfortable with that. I don't know your playing style, so you'll have to choose accordingly.

Go to the Wiki and study up on each turret and hull that you have MUed to M1. That will help you with your decision making. I could tell you which ones to pick, but I don't want to persuade you one way or another. If you don't have a particular playing style, then start experimenting with combos, find out what you like and stick with it.

Good advice. Or, you can save up for Chiropractor and get Short-band Emitters, which means you're a force to be reckoned with at any range. Did no one else see this coming?... ;)

I recommend you choosing your favorite hull & turret and then buying an M2 product kit accordingly. You can save crystals from now & buy it as soon as possible. This is only if you haven't fully micro upgraded your M1 hulls & turrets. If you have already micro upgraded them about halfway, you can refer Tanki Wiki to find future upgrade costs & then decide whether to keep upgrading them or buy a product kit  :)

After buying the kit, stick to it & micro upgrade it to some extend, but not fully. Save your crystals for a decent M3 kit  :) Sticking to a single combo (Rail + Hornet for me) is the best way to save crystals, but it'll give you the same playing style in battles. Hope it won't be boring for you  :)

By now you should have a good idea of what turret and hull you feel more comfortable to play with.

The painful way is: select the kit accordingly to your fighting style in the upper rank, see how much you need and play to save crystals until you have enough to buy the kit. Calculate how much crystals you do per xp and how much you get per ranking. Carry on playing until the kit is available. If you have more crystals available than the kit use it to MU it right after you bought the kit, the save crystals again.

The other way is to start again, get a new cool nickname and play using all the experience you have gained so far. Focus your garage build on the combo you feel comfortable with. Soon they would be a new War with 3k available (usually on the first tiers) this will give you a starting boost. If you star again you will not make the mistake you did and you will get faster to where you are now and with better equipment.

When I started to buy product kits it all went better.

I made the exact same mistake on my first account where I bought every Hull and Turet to try out, not thinking to just load up on one Turet/Hull combo THEN start buying other stuff.

Also focus on the star challenges and completing daily/weekly challenges to get containers/crystals/supplies ect.

If you want, you can start over with a completely fresh new account like I did a while back.  I'm on my second account, but you can have as many as you'd like.

Good luck!

I made the mistake of buying every M1 I could on my first account, due to which I ended up with only 2 M2 turrets and no M2 hulls.

Since then, I have made over 50-60 accounts  , with many being for trying out random kits or new turrets, and others having a fully upgraded specific combo for when I want to play with them.

I think starting over would be the best option for you, but don't start over 50 times. :P

Geezes, I thought I was bad with 12. Most were experimental, some started over using suggestions of others that failed. That's why I'm not telling OP what to use and what not to use. His playing style may be different from mine and I don't want him to have to start over and over and over again. He already has M1s in his account. He doesn't need to start over.

Contrary to what people are suggesting, you've screwed up. Not the worst screw up, but still screwed up. I'm only 1 rank higher than you and as you can see from my profile, I have a pretty good tank for my rank.

You can still recover, but it will be a long road for you until you can buy an M2 kit, which btw is the best option. Until you get to Field Marshal, ignore sales and focus on kits. Kits are by far and beyond better than any sales you will encounter as of recent years. Yes, even the 10-year celebration is quite wacky compared to kits that can range up to 75% off in total, if I'm not mistaken.

If you are starting over, focus on getting a good M1 kit (I for example got Twins + Viking) and may be getting an M2 kit very early on (I got Railgun and Dictator). May be it is a bit of a screw up for me for getting a kit that is quite the weak M2 combo looking at ranks, as I'm not planning to micro-upgrade until I have M3s as it is a huge crystal waste, but Railgun is by far one of the best weapons in the game due to the versatility in a variety of ranged combat. Honestly, having only one combo as M1 and M2 will save you crystals greatly as you can then focus the left over crystals on M3 kits and later micro upgrades.

Once you reach 3 star rank, buy the best M3 kits you think you will want, and then once you reach Field Marshal, get the remaining weapons and hulls as well as microupgrade the M3 ones during sales, then you will slowly get all combos. Trust me when I say that when you start playing with legends, you will not want to play with them until you have at least one M4 set in your arsenal.
