Ever since UBL (unified battle list) EN players have disappeared from battles imo.

I just ignore the battle chat ever since they made that merge.

Since it's mostly Russian I see, I'm able to remember some words that are attributed to different interactions. If that guy says "Шафтoрак" after I keep killing him, then he's bound to come after me. That's me keeping one player distracted. Some players say "Блин" after I kill them. Thanks to Maf, I know that that player may be frustrated or too frustrated to play the battles thoroughly.

If you really want to know if anyone speaks English, just ask in battle chat. But be prepared for some unruly Russian comments or "NO!!". I get the impression they are no more happy with the merge than we are.

 

One time, about a month after the merge, this was the conversation (I remember it well):

 

Me in battle chat: "Does anyone speak English?"

Player on opposing team: Yes, y u wanna no?"

Me: "Just asking"

Player: "I no wanna talk to u."
