Cancel self destruct

Recommended Posts

Sometimes you make the wrong call by pressing "delete" that may end up losing chance to take the gold box or cap enemy flag etc...

I'm sure it's happened to everyone when sometime you wanted to cancel the self destruct but you  couldn't So simply  When pressing "delete" again it should cancel the self destruct.

Declined

I don't remember the exact reason for this, but I know for a fact that this is intentional game design. It was suggested before and developers rejected the idea.

Why not? I have suffered countless times accidentally pressing the Delete button.

Probably something to do with abuse of it. Like I said - not sure what the reason is.

Rip this broken self-destruct system. Seems like it's broken and it's not getting fixed.

On Mobile, you need to hold the button for a few seconds to self-destruct. Accidentally doing so isn't possible. What about something like that in the Web version?

Self-destruct cancellation should be a thing, so this doesn't happen:

• You fall on your side

• You press Delete

• A teammate with a Railgun or something comes over

• He flips you back on your tracks

• You self-destruct.

It's not about pressing it accidentally. It's about pressing it, but changing your mind before the 5 seconds are up. For example, when you're flipped on your side and press delete, but your teammate helps you get back on tracks, so you'd want to cancel.

What if you flip and your team mate helps you get back and your tracks, you hit ‘cancel’, then you flip again, hit delete again, and your team mates helps you get back on your tracks again, what then?

You hit the "cancel" button again

But at least it would take half a second to confirm the self-destruct; many posts I see above are about accidentally pressing delete.

I have an idea that keeps the self-destruct function. After taping "delete" once, the game will require you to tap it again before self-destructing.

Wont help much because you'll get into the habit of mashing 'Delete' twice in quick succession before you realise you want to cancel.
