Creating a Life Sized Tank. (FINAL)

Recommended Posts

My decision is made, I will be working on Thunder and Viking XT, Gauss Prime and Viking Prime. also, I will work on supply drops life-sized if I have time. IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THOSE TURRETS AND HULL THEN FRIEND ME AND SEND ME MESSAGE SO THAT I CAN TAKE PICTURE TO WORK ON THE BLUEPRINT.

thanks and sorry for the confusion.

When I was 7 or 8 years old, I was kinda interested in model-making, so one day I decided to make a huge model of the Titanic. Not quite life-size, but around 2 meters long. I asked my parents to buy a ton of modelling cardboard, and once they did, I made a big and terribly disproportionate base for the ship's deck. Aaaaand after that I got bored and never worked on that project again...

My point is, this kind of project is extremely ambitious and you need to realise what you're committing to. Also, if you already have experience making small scale models, you have to keep in mind that you can't just increase the scale without changing the structure. A 5 meter paper model won't stand at all without a lot of internal supports. So if you are seriously considering this project, make sure you plan it out well so that you know exactly what to do and how it will fit together.

  • How much material do you need? Can you afford it?
  • Do you have enough free space to work on and store the model?
  • How will you attach pieces together?
  • How will you ensure it keeps its shape and doesn't collapse?
  • How will you add decoration and finishing touches?
  • Do you have enough time and dedication to finish it?
  • Is it even worth the effort?

I wish you best of luck with this project, but if I were you, I'd go for a smaller model size (no more than 1 meter) and focus on the details and quality. Bigger is not always better.

It would be interesting to see a real-life sized Tanki tank, even if not well detailed, because that would mean a lot of time.

You can do it with the help from others, like they figuring out all the measurements, after the new models come out, and probably when there's a contest.

As I said in my last post, I will be building a life-sized thunder prime and Viking. But I decided to change my mind. Instead, I wanted to build a Gauss M3 with Viking m3, or Gauss Prime and Viking Prime.

In the fourteen turrets in-tank online, the only gun that has two firing modes is the Gauss turret.
Until the new turret and hull design update comes, I will need some suggestions for making the tank blueprints.

The new designs will not affect size if I am correct. So, you can start figuring out what size they are. As a side note though, both Striker and Shaft have two firing modes (as well as Juggernaut's turret, Terminator).

Viking is 5 meters long and 4 meters wide. Gauss is 5 meters long and 2.65 meters long at the top (with the ears) and 0.95 meters long (it gets slowly smaller, but starts at 0.95) in the smaller part. Roughly 2.1 meters of the turret is the big part, and the barrel makes up the rest.

Just remember, this is going to be at least 6 meters long (the turret extends from the hull), so that's about 18 feet, which is over 2x as high as a regular house-story.

Think this over before you start. Anyways, good luck - though I'm not sure what else I can say ;)

*Edit: if you have anything else to say on the topic, just post it here, don't make a new one. If the topic gets closed, just PM me and I'll answer if I can, or let you know where to ask.

Yes. Everyone said, "what is the point?" because it is fun but also a hobby I like to do, search up: "Chinese Farmer who built a plane." he also wants building life-sized models as a hobby. Also, life-sized models make me feel it is real. The reason why I am making life sized is also for movies and riding the tank.

HBTY, thanks for the measurements, but can you send a picture of the turret showing which part is the measurements? I don't know where the measurements belong.

I'll do it when I have time.

So last time, I asked for help building a Gauss and Viking prime, but it keeps bothering me that I should make the Thunder and Viking XT. I apoligise for the mix-up, I made my final decision that I should make a life-sized Thunder and Viking XT. The "Red Glowing Eyes" on the thunder XT tank reminds me of a modern tank called T-90, or people who were involved in the Syrian Civil War calls it: "The Tank With Red Eyes," (search it up) due to its terrifying look at nighttime. So I want to make the tank that has pretty goldern cover and cool disighn, but that looks scary at night since I will be painting the tank with black,

So my last request is this: I need a blueprint for the tank front, right side, left side, back, top, bottom. Each side measured with detail.

Here is a Picture of a T-90 at night, now imagine what the Thunder XT will look at night.

I appreciate that you at least took the time to hide your previous topic before posting this one, but it would be better if you just keep one topic about it and update the first post instead, as it makes the discussion easier to follow. I added this new content to the first post.

Once again, don't make new topics. Find the one you already made.

Anyways, I don't think any players have access to actual 3D models from all angles. This may help though: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=357424

Otherwise, you're kinda on your own.

Thanks!

There are no detailed blueprints. You’ll have to use your imagination from screenshots and make some blueprints yourself.

yes that is true, what I mean is every part of the tank needs measurements incase if I am going to build the inside of the tank too.
