new rules coming out on Jan 2020 .

what will now happen is you have to choose to have your content placed under Adult content or Children content...

if labeled Child content you will no longer be making money off the channel.

if labeled Adult , new rules and guidelines will be in place.

That's ridiculous, it's kind of a lose-lose because Tanki vids aren't "adult" content but people still want to make money. Hopefully there's nothing that affects them too much.

from what I have been told from other you-tubers on line . this will effect tanki and the e-sport group..we might not be able to comment on you tube live streams or v-logs . see below some of the items to come.

#7 What is considered as “Kid’s Content” anyway?:

YouTube stated that when deciding whether your video content is aimed at kid’s or not, considered the following..

What is the subject matter of your video?

  • Whether children are your intended audience for the video
  • Whether the video includes child actors or models
  • Whether the video includes characters, celebrities or toys that appeal to children, including animated characters or cartoon figures.
  • Whether the language of the video is intended for children to understand
  • Whether the video includes activities that appeal to children
  • Whether the video includes songs, stories, or poems that appeal to children

#8 How old is a kid under the new rules?

In the US, it’s anyone under 13.

#9 If I set my content as made for kids, what does this mean for my channel?

YouTube clearly states that if your video content is aimed towards children, the platform now HAS to start limiting the data it collects on these viewers. It will also remove features including:

  • Comments
  • Personalized ads (so some creators may see a decrease in revenue).
  • Info cards
  • End screens
  • Stories
  • Community Tab
  • Notification Bell
  • The ability for viewers to save videos, watch them later, or save to a playlist.

I thought this game was intended for everybody regardless of age group. In that case, why someone make content keeping a specific age group in mind.

Come on... who likes Dora the Explorer type of obvious content, not even kids these days.

apparently Tanki is now "adult content"... that's ridiculous.

its to do with you-tube and not tanki it self. for tanki its  open to all ages . but this could change to be 13 and over ? we know from our own experances not everyone say's there real ages when joining games or social media things,

this is to do with you tube and not tanki . this new rule apply's  to all you-tubers in you-tube . they changing rules as of I think either Dec 10 2019 or Jan 1 2020 . there is two dates I was told about not sure which one is correct.

COPPA is only really an issue for exclusive kids (under 13) channels, these being nursery rhymes, toy channels, etc.

This explains it better than I could.

As for Tanki Online YouTubers, I'm sure the vast majority of players are over 13, so it probably won't be as much of an issue.

"Adult content" on YT, describes content that little to no person under the age of 13 would/does watch. It's also content for teenagers, not just adults.

I'm talking about what YT defines it as -_-

This means Tanki is now either defined as adult content on YT (and so has age restrictions) or channels are demonetized. Can you guess which one Youtubers will choose? So basically if you put your real age into your google account, you won't be able to watch any Tanki videos anymore

Nah, you don't even need to log in from any account to watch the videos. They are doing it just for legal purposes.

YT defines a kid as someone under the age of 13, and so does the FTC.

Anyone under the age of 13 having a google account: Wait. That's illegal.

Here's a video to help explain how COPPA will affect YTbers:

(If you can, please watch the video at "1440p60" video quality. It increases the audio quality as well.)
