Power abusing; is it real?

We all know the 'famous' YouTuber, MrThunder. He spends a lot of time with making videos.

But do they deserve special treatment for what they are doing? I'm not talking about the promo codes they possibly get from Tanki(that's another discussion, lets stay strict to our topic).

I'm talking about the rules. Are they allowed to break the rules, just because they are famous? Well, that's what just happened. What am I talking about ? Let me show you!

He used his friends' account in his videos. That means they shared the accounts.

The videos:

and:

Just to show you exactly what I'm talking about: unknown.png

So my question is: does anyone care about them breaking the rules? I know that's how this world works. You're known, you have power, you can do things that others can not.

But is this how Tanki Online works?

We are the players of this game. If we accept it, then yes, this is how it works, and it's not gonna change.

BUT if we do care, we can change it.

So... which rule is being broken?

I don't really think it's a problem letting someone you trust (or preferably know in person) use your account. As far as I know it's the account trading stuff which is prohibited.

Sharing an Account is actually against the rules.

Sharing accounts via the chat? Yes for sure. But if you personally knew someone and asked them if you could play on their account for a brief period of time, I don't quite find the wrong in doing so.

Is sharing in-game against the rules? Or is sharing in-game and in real life against the rules?

Edited, made it simpler for you.

Sharing with in-real life people is a common thing to do, and also with close friends. I think one of these two scenarios can be applied to this case.

Never understood the reasoning behind that...

Hypothetical... brothers living in same household share one TO account... this is harmful... how?

i'd say the whole point is avoiding whats called i think "Account Boosting" Earning EXP so fast, Crystals, even letting a better player achieve something you possibly can not.

Like missions, challenges, etc. i think that is the whole point.

It's harmful because by having the same account they are effectively cutting their payments in half. So unless they both want to play at the same time, they can just use the same account and buy everything on it, instead of having to buy each item twice on separate accounts. Sharing over the internet can be proven using IP addresses, while real life sharing obviously cannot be proven at all, so in that case the rule cannot really be enforced.

And that is a fact. Sharing accounts in any form is FORBIDDEN. It's a fact.

The question is, can he break the rules just because he is a YouTuber?

He isn't technically breaking the rules is what people are tryna say.

Actually the real reason is likely what Maf has said above. What difference would it make for the game if someone ranked up for you or helped you in battles.

He isn't breaking the rules? Giorgi told him the password. He played in the account. Giorgi played in the account? I don't get it why it is regular. This way I can let others in my account too.

They likely know each other in real life, so the rules don't apply.

Dude, there is no proof that they know each other in real life. Please do not talk about whats 'likely'! Talk about pure facts! That's what I did. Also, so I can share my account with  a guy from my city? No, I can not. The only problem with that is that nobody can find it out. For example today I logged in from a school PC. And it was me. Who says it wasn't a friend of mine playing in my acc? Me. It's ME saying that. Unless Tanki can not prove the contrary, I can not get banned. How could Tanki possibly prove that it wasn't me? If it has happened in another country, well, I most likely didn't leave the country for a few hours, logged in my account, then after a few hours I'm back to my home PC. So, in short: big distances, short time. That's a proof.

But this is not that case. In this case they admit it. What are we even talking about?

Important fact is that saying that an account doesn't belong to you and playing on account which doesn't belong to you is not always the same thing.

We will not be longer supporting this youtuber. As for accounts, customer support will run needed checks.

If you have any questions - please PM me, but there is nothing to discuss on public. Such behaviour from YT will not be tolerated.
