UPDATED - Conflict “Yin Yang”

Even though I'm apart of Yin, I think it should be considered a tie so both Yin and Yang receive full rewards per stars earned. Everyone played hard and Yang members shouldn't have their efforts wasted. It only makes sense since they're both equal and balance each other out, and one isn't better than the other, if you know what I mean.

Looks like the Countdown to this Conflict is glitched. https://imgur.com/a/YjkVwYu

Anyways, the event just ended, right?  Because the next server restart is March 1st, 02:00 UTC, if I recall correctly.

Isn't there one more day? 2020 is a leap year.

Yes Yin and Yang receive full rewards per star earned and so, no one will lose and all players happen ❤️

Yes, but the Conflict announcement mentions this.

How Conflict works

  1. The event will run from February 1st till February 29th, starting and ending with the server restart.

What bothers me is that the announcement is rather vague with the end date of the event.  Supposing that Tanki sticks with their convention of using Coordinated Universal Time, then the "Yin-Yang" Conflict has ended with the Feb. 29 02:00 UTC server restart (which occurred about 2 hours ago as of writing this).  I'd definitely like Marcus to confirm that the event has definitely ended, though.

I don't think it is confusing. It did stated UTC timing. Could have just googled it. UTC timing turned to Feb 29 at 00:00. Hence, it is correct to state 02:00.

Nope. Google UTC time now and compare it with the announcement's Feb 29 02:00. Now is what time? At the time of writing this reply, UTC time is already:

4:30 am
Saturday, 29 February 2020

Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)

Way past the end duration. It's not confusing. They have been using the standard UTC time format in announcements years ago.

@1M4U

Thanks for clarifying.  Your comment on inspecting the Yin Yang page was especially helpful in relieving my worries:

Yes Yin won. Inspecting the page shows Yin barely won by 2289 stars...

Inspecting the page now shows that the winning margin is 2790 stars.

So its confirm YIN Won???!

I know that near the end of it all Yin was only .01 away from a tie. so lets see on Monday who did win.

It would be cool to come out in a tie for once. and this I believe is the first time in tanki history that all or most of the players took part in it.. in the past its mainly one sided wins.. just my opinion ..

The numbers on the site haven't updated since at least 2am EST (21 hrs ago) so not 100% clear who has won.  Stars should have accrued until server restart 2 hours ago.

const YIN_STAR = '7459272';
const YANG_STAR = '7462062';

Hello Everyone I am hoping that you all are having a great time

This is Confirmed that Yin is the winner. I was in it my self and would like to thank all of the yin  teammates for working so hard and take our team to victory

I hope you will be very pleased to hear this news and I know that you all will Enjoy your Rewards. Even if someone did 100 to 200 stars dont be sad, the real thing is that you guys Participated. And the Yang who lost dont be sad, In every thing there is either a win or loss, sometimes we win and sometimes we lose so I hope you guys will not be sad and try again to win in the next conflict or war or whatever. Thank you all for Participating. I hope you guys had a fun time. You will receive your reward with server restart on Monday. Thank you all again

const YIN_STAR = '7459272';
const YANG_STAR = '7462062';

That number is last updated. I guarantee it because the lead used to be 2289 with YIN winning. I checked it directly after server update yesterday. This new 2790 gap is the last updated I supposed an hour after event ended (I checked it to confirm after someone told be it's 2790 apart). It is last updated 21 hours ago because the event ENDED YESTERDAY, NOT TODAY.

Secondly, the numbers are switched. You inspected the page wrongly.

If you hover over the line of code for man, you can see the box on the LEFT is lighted up. On the LEFT, the paint picture is for YANG. Hence, the number of stars for YANG is 7459272.

Hovering over the line of code for women, the box on the RIGHT is lighted up. On the RIGHT, the paint picture is for YIN. Hence, the number of stars for YIN is 7462062 instead.

You are in YIN LOL. What cha talking about? We can all browse your event paint from your ratings page.

Anyways, the faction you are in, YIN, won. Unless the numbers we get from inspecting the conflict page is RIGGED, I am very sure YIN won.

BTW, YIN members worked very hard. We used to fall behind Yang by 500k - 800k stars for the first few weeks in the first challenge. From the second challenge, YIN took over and pulled the gap to almost 900k apart but somehow in the last 2 weeks of the second challenge, it started to decline and hence the almost tie results we get now.
