Breaking News: Social Media leader, Newspaper admin, and discord star Kaisdf has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, becoming the first infected personnel known in the Tankiverse. All other newspaper reporters, including myself, will be tested this week, and will subsequently be quarantined if displaying any signs of illness.

Candidates are not official helpers, so I am exempted from testing till I get promoted to reporter. Righttt? :x

Not officially no. However, since you came into contact with Kais on numerous occasions last week, we highly advise you get tested.

Can you please call the virus FOVID-19 (forum virus '19) instead of COVID-19 to differentiate between the joke and the real thing? Let us see if anyone actually has COVID-19.

What are the symptoms of FOVID-19?

Excessive typos, injudicious use of confused reaction, tears streaming continuously (as in ? and ?) and, at critical stages, illegible grammar; are among the symptoms identified so far.

Other symptoms include the inexplicable urge to formulate abnormally long text walls.

My superiors have informed me that the connection is indeed factual.

I got laid off yesterday due to exposure from my coworker whose son tested positive for Covid-19 and they live together. Now I'm in self quarantine for the next 2 weeks at home. My whole workplace got shut down until further notice.

Guys i hope you are in good health right now and so not in an isolation ward. Anyways please respect the lock down. Stay in your houses unless very necessary like "I ran out of food" necessary. please do not waste toilet paper in challenges like the one in which people play soccer with toilet paper because some people don't have toilet paper because of panicking public. Please share resource. The world is not ending. You don't need to buy 100 years worth of toilet paper or food. Always wear a mask outside of home. Don't shake hands or hug someone. Wash hands frequently or use a hand sanitizer. Keep a distance from everyone, specially from those who have flu symptoms. In case you have flu symptoms, consider consulting a doctor. respect those who are working in such circumstances while we are in our houses. please people only we can stop the spread of corona virus. Yes, we have a problem in front of us and we will fight it. We will stop it. We will win the war against corona virus! we will stay in our houses so that we cannot get infected and don't infect others. After all. all we have to do to save the world is to stay at home and watch pokemon ?(or whatever you prefer to do at home). Whose with me? (I mean have a will to defeat corona virus, not in person. No. don't be in person with anyone but your family. please no. stay at your homes.)

PS: sorry for the serious stuff in middle of the jokes about FOVID-19.

I don't know how if the above post qualifies as a text-wall, but I am taking the extra precaution for FOVID-19 just in case. Don't worry about posting serious stuff, as joking about FOVID-19 may help people remember to take proper precautions from COVID-19 as long as there are some serious stuff mixed in.

Ok. By the way, do you know that your mobile phone has more germs then your shoe's sole? According to bright side on youtube this is a fact. So next time you pick up a call, don't forget to wash your hands.

What is a virus?

"A virus is a submicroscopic infectious agent that replicates only inside the living cells of an organism" - Wikipedia

Why is it called novel coronavirus?

Novel means new. Corona because of the pointy things the virus has.

Where does the novel coronavirus replicates?

Lungs and respiratory tracks, as far as I know... you can double check.

How does the virus get there?

It gets there through the nose or mouth.

What can we do?

1. Prevent the viruses from getting in there

  • Don't touch your face with dirty hands because you could be moving viruses from your hands to your face where you could breathe them in when you inhale.
  • Wear a face mask when people are around, even at home. The virus could stay viable in the air for hours depending on ambient conditions
  • Stay home if possible to avoid getting infected or infecting others.

2. Prevent the viruses that come out from going into the air and from getting onto surfaces and objects where it could infect others.

  • Use a face mask when around people, even at home.
  • Cover you cough or sneeze as much as possible.
  • If you're sick, with many coughs and sneezes, stay home in your room with plenty of tissue for your coughs and sneezes, isolate yourself as much as possible.

3. Stop the spread of the virus so it doesn't infect you or others.

  • Wash your hands.
  • If that's not possible use hand sanitizer.
  • Clean commonly touched surfaces and objects.

What if I don't have a face mask?

  • You can make one, following advise from a good website.
  • Or use something else to cover your mouth and nose to filter the air as best as possible. Just make sure you can still breath.
  • Keep your masks or other things you are using clean. Look for good advise on how to keep them clean.

What else should I know?

Many people get infected and they don't have symptoms, but they could infect others.

People from all ages could get infected and could infect others

If all do our part we could stop the virus from spreading and killing many people and destroying many economies.
