I'm just curious.  I've been playing about 3 to 4 hours a day with an occasional 5 to 6 hour day thrown in once in awhile.

You should probably change the poll (or add another question) to find out how quarantine actually affected the amount of time people spend in the game. Something like "How many more hours do you spend in Tanki now compared to before the COVID-19 outbreak?"

Also include an option for less time spent.

Interesting observation and maybe a good follow-up poll for comparison, but my curiosity runs towards total time spent playing Tanki by respondents, not just how much more time they have spent since the lockdown.  In a few days, after some results come in on this poll/thread, I will create a poll as you have suggested.  Thanks for the input

I understand your argument, and I knew personally many a few who perished in the outbreak. However, mental health is also important, and laughter is an important medicine. Many people are hit harder than others simply because they psychologically think it is worse, and their body won't be able to fight the virus as well. It is important not to worry.

Also, many of the jokes are about the strange effects COVID-19 has on people (like to make them hoard toilet paper) and not on the real problems. I would agree that a joke like "There were three people on a ventilator, one said..." is inappropriate and out of taste, but jokes about staying at home are acceptable.

Did anyone get a tan yet from the light in their fridge? Its the only tan you'll get.

I think all humor, or at least the majority of humor has it's roots in tragedy and suffering or at the least, sadness.  I believe it is a coping mechanism. 

I personally have lost 100% of my income since January due to Covid19.  I contracted to buy and paid for a business in September of last year with most of my life's savings...it is a tourist business.  I took it over in February of this year.  Now I may lose the tourist business because I may not be able to keep up with rent on the space without any income.  But my family and myself are healthy, so that's the important part really. 

Sometimes humor comes too close to the edge of tragedy and becomes "in bad taste",  Sometimes it stumbles over the line and is offensive.  Every person has their own boundaries.  For me, I prefer to laugh when ever possible and I thought these jokes were funny or at least cute, so I wanted to share them in case others might like them like I do.  I'm sorry if they crossed your personal boundary, passed by "in poor taste" and jumped the line into offensive.  I'm sorry you feel offended by them...it was not my intent.

The amount of time I play really depends on the day of the week.

On weekdays, I have to go to sleep early in order to wake up early. However I am able to stay up pretty late on Friday and Saturday nights.

This whole coronavirus thing hasn't affected how much I play very much.

I have actually caught it and I have not feel good.also I meant to say that it is not as bad as you think I did not say that it wasn’t bad.Also Covid-19 has been around for 5/6 months.Also I would like to point that China is to blame here As they did not report Covid cases and when they did report they underreported the severity and the amount of cases that had occurred.Also many people are slightly over exaggerating the Covid-19 virus.Rules like social distancing is applicable to older people but Covid-19 is almost harmless to younger kids unless they have pre occurring conditions.In some places schools will not start next year. This is ridiculous as kids and teens will now get minimum education even though they are shielded from Covid.I was just saying that it is not as dangerous as many people believe.And yes I am a teenager but I had mild side effects.I had it for over 2 weeks.This shows that even though I had the virus for over 14 days I did not die.Thats why I am saying that Kids and anybody in school should be able to go back.

Yea people have to find something to meme about and covid is just the thing. For someone whos got covid will never be able to meme about it. But its not a bad idea to make satirical memes on covid that will inform the people how to avoid it, and how big of a problem it is. #Stayhome, Staysafe   say it with me.
