I would like to carry out a survey to find out what the most common rank is.

What if I have more than one account? Do I choose the rank that my highest account is at? Do I choose the rank that the account that I'm posting on is at? Or do I log on to each account and choose the rank that it's currently on?

Players find it necessary to know other players' ranks when discussing gameplay or similar matters, and the relevance of some features varies by rank. So if your highest account is a Legend 1, your experience with certain mechanisms in gameplay will likely be impacted toward Legend1, even if you have a few alts that you use here and there.

This account is a General with about 50,000 exp to go before I reach Marshal. I have like three alts that I use from time to time, but the highest is only Master Sergeant.

It has been condensed in order to make it more compact and straight to the point, featuring the most important rank brackets, otherwise it just clutters up the page unnecessarily (especially since progressing through ranks in-game is faster at lower ranks, thus making more sense to have broader poll options to compensate for it). I'm also quite sure you wouldn't stumble upon active forumers with each and every rank that the game has, meaning that most of the poll options would be left untouched and just unnecessarily take up the page space, due to which as I've mentioned it is better to split them up into respective rank brackets for players to choose from, enabling clearer and more comprehensive ranks' overview.

Honestly it would be really cool if tanki did a major survey on its player base, like forcing all active players to answer a few simple questions and rewarded them with something afterwards. Then they'd reveal details like the average player rank, the most used equipment, etc..

But the more I think of it, they probably keep this information hidden for a reason, company secrets I guess.

They don't need to have a survey for that lol. All the data about in-game accounts is available to them internally.

The most common rank amongst forumers is probably Legend.

Amongst all players its probably private or gefreiter.

Mhm, it did. It may possibly be re-implemented in the future; we just can't know for certain.
