Nah I dont think so. The game has never made turrets/hulls exclusively available for tankoins or (ultra) containers. I guess it will be available for crystals once released, but any Tesla-kits will be solely purchasable for coins at first, augments in (ultra) containers and skins exclusively for real currencies.

And two months later Hopper is only available with tankoins and ultra containers for some time... heh

I think that the Ares release was late cuz the devs may have been working on Hopper at the same time as a surprise...

Sadly, Tanki announced this turret isn't coming anytime soon. They're focusing on hulls for the time being.

It's a no wonder that Ares took so long. I bet in 2021, we will have a new Medium Hovering Hull (hopefully my cloak idea haha) and the Tesla Turret.

I'm honestly hyped for the turret. Since 2017, I've always wanted a true electric-themed turret to be added in the game.

I hope it won't take a year and a half to be added like it took for Ares :|

Probably 2021, or 2022 if they don't try hard next year.

They are currently working on releasing Crusader the New Hull, HTML5 Bugs, and TO Mobile iOS.

Development Plans

The Tesla Turret seemed to have similar mechanics to the BFG Ball from Ares, so I wouldn't imagine it would take too long to produce this new turret.

I predict Tesla would come out in Spring 2021.

Usually in the past, a new turret is either released during spring (Vulcan, Magnum and Gauss), or during Christmas (Hammer and Striker)

I actually predicted we would get a new medium hull by Christmas because the developers had already released Hopper and Ares mere months from each other. (Also cause your medium hovering hull topic was "Under Review" or something similar at the time). Since devs also released a forum post or something stating they were working on hulls at the moment, I ruled out Christmas 2020 as the release of Tesla.

With Christmas out of the way, the next "window" for a new piece of equipment would be Spring 2021.


Additionally, since it looks like Tesla will be using the new model, I predict we will start seeing the new, detailed models for turrets and hulls like Smoky and Hornet to come out soon...possibly before or directly after Tesla is released.



Of course, this is all a speculation, so its not 100% gonna come true.....I think.

Your guess is as good as mine. However, in the Russian Livestream Hazel was a little bit more talkative, and he confirmed one hovertank and also said legged tank is an option too. But he was not keen on tanks with wheels.
Regarding hull class, we know now that tanki is not against having hull with same HP and same speed (Crusader is the same as Dictator regarding HP, weight and top speed).
This means new hull could be either a ight hull, a medium hull or heavy hull. We have 4 medium and 3 of each light and heavy, statistic suggest either heavy or light. On term of marketing, looking at the hovertank series, they introduced heavy first (the least appealing), then Light and finished with medium (the more appealing class). So if walking tank are next, it would be first a heavy class if i have to guess.
Regarding legs, they already developed equipment that use legs in Tanki X, the Spider mines had 4, so this means they have some know-how to do it, or at least a starting point.

Definitely don't want to buy another hull because I already upgraded viking and titan all the way. I've got 720,000 crystals burning a hole in my pocket and nothing obvious to spend it on, other than a new turret.
