Love: The driving force of life

As mesmerizing as the concept of love sounds, it is still one of the most painful experiences that anyone endures in their lives. Love changes people, for the better or the worse. It has a significant impact on people's lives. It acts as a ripple effect or butterfly effect. It can either make you or destroy you. However, life is still meaningless without love.

Over the centuries, many poets have written about love and its role in human life. Whenever we think of love, we think of it as something intimate, not realizing that love has another dimension to it that we often neglect. Every act of kindness is a byproduct of love. For example, you smile at a stranger passing by and greet them. For you, it is an act of kindness, but in reality, it is a result of your love for humanity, or your love for something in your life that is going well, or your love for yourself.

Our actions are a mere reflection of our emotions. We feel angry, we cause destruction. We destroy our ties, break relationships and make life-ruining decisions. When feel happy, we make promises, we make ties and we forgive. But little did we know that even these powerful emotions are governed by presence or absence of love.

According to many renowned individuals, our positive emotions are because of presence of love in our hearts and our negative emotions are because of absence of love in our hearts. The universe works in mysterious ways. The proverb, you reap what you sow, is often used by people, not realizing the true meaning.

When we do a generous action or kind deed, we are giving love to the universe. This love is destined to come back to us, sooner or later. The deed of smiling at a stranger might come back to you in the physical form of help by another person when your car's tyre runs flat and you find no refuge, or emotional support from a friend when you are depressed. Love acts as the currency of the universe.

Earlier, I mentioned the ripple effect and said that love has a significance on peoples lives. What did I mean by that? Well, suppose you wake up one day and you are energetic for the day. You go to work and on your way, you look at a person who seems depressed. You can't do anything for this stranger except smile at them, to show them the beauty of existence. So you smile at them and then you move on with your life.

But that simple smile made the other person feel better about themselves, and when they felt happy, they passed on that happiness to other people in the form of kindness or forgiveness. The positive energy circulated among people, brightening their day. One of these people were somebody who had been deprived of hope in life. Due to that one act of kindness, this person decides to not quit in life but rather give life another chance.

Thus he starts working hard and eventually becomes financially stable and being a kind soul, decides to help the poor people. These poor people had families, who are now enjoying happiness and love which is a gift of your smile.

We often do not realize how important love is in our life and the role it plays or what love is in general. But we do not need to know the answers to these questions for giving out love because love is eternal.

Approved.

Wow, that was deep; it may or may not have completely disbanded my train of thought and led me to the ripple effect. I definitely enjoyed the read. It brings us all hope that something small we do might just be a blessing for us one day. Thanks for sharing this piece!

Edits: a few comma fixes.
